Fukk the govt I got my own Deficit
Alright so when the program 1st started you'd get a block schedule 2hr, 4r, and 8hr shifts,The delivery times are between 8am-midnight. At one point before amazon hired too many people folks were getting 40hrs+ a week bringing home anywhere from $1700+ or hell I seen a chick on the facebook group in austin pulling $2700+ a week.
Now the way the amazon system works is they select drivers at random to get pre-scheduled shifts. That means every thursday you find out if you were the following week guaranteed. Nobody is guaranteed to get scheduled cause its selected at random and if you don't get scheduled you have to play midnight madness.
Midnight madness is when extra shifts are available for that day. Basically at midnight amazon releases randoms shifts for the entire day at midnight through the flex app. The major issue with this is everybody in the entire city that is hired on are all trying to get these shifts if they didnt get prescheduled on thursday. Which means soon as 12:00am hits you have less than 5 seconds to attempt to grab a shift before none are available.
Now when I first started I was grabbing shifts like crazy on midnight madness and working 3 to 4 times a week making on average an extra $280-$500 a week(you get paid every week) with maybe 16hrs of "work". What I mean by "work" is that if you don't have a delivery you still get paid. It could be 10pm at night and you'll be waiting for a package to be ready while you are waiting in the warehouse. And if its 30 to 45mins before your shifts ends they'll let you go home early and you'll still get paid for the rest of your shift.
And don't forget the quicker you delivery the more likely you'll be able to earn a tip. The Flex app will tell you your potential earnings for that day its not always accurate because people can tip you whatever they want
