I've kinda hit a plateau and just tryna see whats up to get that summertime definition going.

I've been looking up the Keto diet and it looks promising.
Just seeing if anyone in here has actually tried it and if they got good results from it.

For anyone else that hasn't heard of this its basically a
High Fat
Low Carb
Moderate protien diet.

Yep, just started back up today. Did it for about 4 months and dropped about 35 lbs. The first week SUCKS. But once I got into a rhythm it felt awesome. I didn't believe all that extra shyt about feeling great and not being hungry going in, but once I was fully adapted it was crazy. I had to remember to eat, which was good cuz I had been overeating for years. Also I felt like I took an adderall every day, so focused.

Again, it sucks at first, but once you're in it really does work wonders.

Well tonight I had a steak, grilled, then put some butter on it when it was done with some salt.
Also I had some garlic roasted Brussels sprouts cooked with olive oil.
And I made a cheddar broccoli soup.

All delicious

Yea, I'm pretty dedicated on this one, gonna give it a solid 60 days before I adjust or really assess

I've never tried it, I've mostly been on a high protein(high alcohol) lifestyle. So its a little weird to see how much less protein you have to eat on this diet. But dudes are still continuing making their gains and(at least not losing anything) so right now I'm looking to just get a good cut for the summer.

Like anything, its about a calorie deficit. The way the Keto looks to me is just substituting different foods to a certain prefernce but still getting that caloric deficit.

Low carb foods, moderate protein are mostly low calory foods. the high fats part is supposed to put your body in to Ketosis which burns fat at a high rate. Which should also burn more body fat that you have rather than carbs.

So an average day mealwise for me would be about like this:
A couple eggs and some sausage for breakfast (or bacon, or if you're not fukking with pork then turkey bacon). Some butter in the pan for the eggs since you need a ton of fat.

Lunch would be a salad, normally spinach with eggs, broccoli, sunflower seeds, cheese, and then ranch or some other high fat dressing (gotta be careful about the carbs in it).

Dinner would be some sort of green like greens, kale, broccoli, asparagus, with a burger or some chicken breast or whatever meat.

Biggest thing for me was keeping under about 30g of carbs not including fiber, staying hydrated, and getting as much fat as I could. I didn't count calories once I got adapted, just ate when I needed to and was fine. There are a shytload of good resources online with meal plans, food lists, etc. I don't really fukk with reddit, but the /r/keto had some decent resources on it. I'm also not picky about variety, I could eat the same shyt every day, but I know some people need to branch out, but there are always good recipes online and shyt.

I'm in day 2. I was going to wait but I got tired of trying to manage a normal diet so I figured I'd give this a shot.

Day 2 feeling light headed and dizzy. Thirsty all the time. Barely feel hunger. It's a trip I used to be counting down the seconds to my next meal and now my alarm goes off and I'm like :leon: already. It's only day 2 so if this continues I could see myself hitting my goals sooner than I thought. Giving up bread and sugar wasn't hard I barely ate fruit and drink diet drinks anyway. Only thing that I'm struggling with is keeping my protein down but I guess that's what butter and oil is for.

For breakfast I had
150g Porkchop
2 Eggs
28g Pecan

Lunch
4 pieces of bacon
2 slices of cheese
150g ground beef
Lettuce Wrapped

Dinner
I'm going to have
1table spoon of olive oil over a small spinach and kale salad
With buttered asparagus.

Going to go for a run tonight wonder how I'll do. Then tomorrow I start lifting again for the week. I expect to feel weak.

Day 3 I feel like complete shyt and my mouth taste like its about bleed. This shyt is weird. From reading around this feeling could last weeks :sadcam: I hope this pays off.

Edit: Workout went great. I think what helped me was that I would drink caffeine all day to control my hunger but since I'm not hungry all the time when I took my preworkout it was the only caffeine I had all day so I got a great energy boost.
