I don't care about any of this, but I did hear him say about getting photographed getting adam's apple reduction

"And I thought, well the easiest thing for me to do right now is to just go inside, get a gun, and go to a better place"

:what::merchant:

I believe a lot of transgendered people I've seen on tv were crazy, not because they were transgendered, because they were on tv.

I believe bruce jenner is a little crazy, not because he thinks he's a woman, because he fukking said he'd shoot himself in the face with the nonchalance of someone ordering vanilla pudding after being told the kitchen was out of chocolate.

"Saw me gettin' surgery, time to peel my wig back real talk" :shaq2:

:mindblown:

Yeah you're right, I should have said that it will affect society, but it doesn't have to be in a negative direction. It would have literally no personal effect on the vast majority of society, but would go a long way in defining who we are as a people. Are we a people that gives in to the same fear and ignorance responsible for history's most shameful episodes, or are we a learned, loving people who are willing to confront new and uncomfortable realities with a clear mind and heart? The inclusion of transgendered people into the fold of who is deserving basic human dignity is a righteous step in my opinion.

There are many things that weren't acceptable for centuries that we as a society decided to make acceptable. For 350 years blacks in this society weren't deemed acceptable. That changed (and is still changing) and it had a very large effect on society, but the change was worth it because it was in the pursuit of a noble goal; universal dignity.

I cheered this on because anytime I see people stand up for themselves against the tide of social ignorance, I think it's great. It's very easy to cower and capitulate in the face of overwhelming social pressures that are cruel and immoral, so when someone takes a stand against that in any form, i hit em with the :salute:

dont compare this to what blacks have and continue to go through....there is no parallel/comparison...

perhaps because it assumes God didn't know what He was doing when he created them. I mean, c'mon. A whole gender change is a lot and way more than homosexuality. It's the most extreme of changes set up beside nature that you can get with. I don't get it . Hormones, surgery...damn. too much.

With respect, I don't believe in Religion, but aside from that, how does that affect your life?

Serious question, why does it bother 90% of the Coli that some individuals that they don't know wish to transition to another gender?

The fact that it keeps getting talked about and they're forcing us to accept it as normal doesn't sit well with most of us. For the whole transgender topic, for the most part I don't care much about it. But when kids are going through these transitions or a 65 year old man with kids goes through them, it's worthy of scrutiny.

Did y'all notice during the break there was a commercial for a new show about a son and his transgender father produced by Ryan Seacrest, the same dude that produces the Kardashian show?

Legally (depending on your state), you do not need female anatomy to be considered a woman. Her sex is male. Her gender is female. What you consider a woman is different from what others might. As far as I know, it is up to the state to decide what they qualify as a female/male/woman/man. Again, I'm not well versed on this because I've never actually researched it in depth and I can't give you a drawn out argument on it, but to me, she is a woman because she A) identifies as a woman & B) has felt like a girl since childhood and I'll take her word for it. Like she said, she is still attracted to women because who you are attracted to is not dependent on your gender. I believe that sexuality and gender isn't as rigid as we assume it is. :yeshrug:

This has to be one of the most confused smart dumb post I've ever read

How? I don't feel remotely affected. You aren't going to start wearing a dress. Children aren't going to turn trans, because it's primarily genetic, so just seeing them around can't make you one. So who is it going to affect then?

I'll hold my neg for now, but the push to make this "acceptable and/or normal" has an affect on society. This argument you all are pushing is intellectually dishonest

Yes, but why? They're not compromising their health and future or yours.

What's the actual problem?

Well, I am a woman. So when men who say they are women are able to share private women's spaces as if they are actually female, that is an intrusion of privacy and it's potentially not safe. There was a woman recently whose gym membership was canceled because she complained about having to share the lockerroom with a man who claims he's a woman -- he hasn't had the surgery or anything just lives as a woman. That is some bullshyt. Why do women have to begin to alter their private spaces to accommodate men who decide they aren't men anymore? They still have testosterone and male body parts. FOH. also, these types tend to be misogynistic toward actual females. I've seen some pretty nasty attitudes toward actual women by men who want to live as women. So, yes, it does affect our lives.

Ok, but how? Y'all keep parroting the same vague thing again: "it has an effect," "it has an effect," but so far not a single person here has been able to explain what that effect is. I already said why it wouldn't affect people like you and me. And I already said why it wouldn't affect children. So who else is there to affect, or how?
