Ok guy. If this were not even 3 years ago and any of those artist were being played to you, you'd be stuck as fukk, but since they have mainstream stay it negates how weird it was when it hit the scene, Thats cool. 07 Wayne wasn't weird either.

And you still can't name another genre that has been doing interesting stuff since 2000. Rap ain't what it use to be but it really is the only thing left in music. This ain't just happening in rap but to all music. There is definitely good rap if you know where to look and have a good ear. I can't help you with that though.
edm is real exciting. Electronic producers are some of the most left field artists out there right now.

Indie Rock goes back and forth. In the last year its been kind of wack but since 2000? :banderas: there has been some amazing stuff.

Most of the experimenting in hip hop is by fringe artists, you cant possibly make the argument that the hip hop community at large supports experimentation. In Indie Rock and Electro experimental artists thrive

Of course, the casual listener not gonna listen to some crazy off the wall stuff until it gets poppy and commercialized, but Rap been at the forefront of all the pop trends of the last decade.

Most of the stuff Indie and Electro been doing the last 10 years is rehash of earlier stuff. Funny cause EDM is just a heavy bite on Southern Trap, 90 RnB, and House. All Black created music but they so "experimental" huh?

Seriously name some experimental Indie or Electro? Bet most of it has been done or is a mash up of different styles of stuff but nothing new.

Nah. Joey Bada$$, Wale, J.Cole, Big KRIT, and Kendrick(less than a year ago) all dropped very good to great projects. They're some of my favorite rapper, so I can't say I'm not loving hip hop right now. It's much better now than it was in the early to mid 2000s.

Nope. All music is referenced from other music but hipster ish is like take these industrial synths, add hip hop breakbeats, and do my best Aaliyah impression while making it sound like a lo-fi 3 6 tape. That's a mashup.

Wayne was influenced and built off of ppl like Hov who looked up to Kane and so on. That's building off each other.

One is organic and the other is academic nerds making music with no soul or anything new to offer.
