Ironically, other genres are mainly remembered for their artistic output...with few exceptions of course. So perhaps rap is a gimmicky hustle genre after allI’d rather be remembered as a media personality than a damn rapper
Who is more talked about outside of a random message board 3x a year? The other Slaughterhouse members of Budden?
Who is more culturally relevant? 90% of the other artist that came our around Buddens time or him?
Outside of Shaderoom posts once in awhile because he was spotted with Ashanti, wtf is a Nelly doing?
I see the world talking Cam and Mase because…they have a media sports show now.
I ain’t heard Gillie the Kid name this much since 2004 mixtapes, and he seem to be living his best life having a blast.
Unless you JayZ or Drake, rap is a short term thing (mainstream wise). Better get your Snoop/Cube/Ye/Wiz/Cam/Budden
nikkas live through these artists - sad truth.Wtf, why would care so much about some random nikkas legacy?
Say you didnt listen to anything beyond the singles without saying you didnt listenHe wasn't a very good rapper then, if his podcasting is what he's better known for..

Yeah I will admit. He’s definitely bitter about shyt like that.He was always salty that he was doing those emo drug addicted I want to mill myself raps 15 years ago but no one outside of the underground cared. Then he sees people doing those things and going platinum![]()
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for his success but it sucks that history will remember him as a media guy and not an MC. I personally believe Joe Budden is an all time great and made some of the most emotionally driven personal music hip hop has ever seen. Just kinda sucks his impact on the game will be remembered as media guy
