Anyone else remember when video games were actually fun?

LOL@yall trying to say games are still fun, but yall mention the more simplistic platforms. Isn't that kind of the point of this thread, they make these high tech systems charge outrageous prices for hardware and games and there's no fun to them. The fun is in dl old games or playing simplistic systems.

exactly these nikkas naming simple shyt, i want to see big name developers make something creative using the next gen technology available to them

games like Mirrors edge, ni no kuni, and Portal were steps in the right direction, need more like that, not all these 2d platformers you nikkas are mentioning.

I have a DS and alot of games.I was thinking of getting 3ds but i heard you have to use a pen for it.And it seemed like that was the direction most of nintendo's handheld games were going.

I have not played one game where i was forced to use the pen.

I gotten more play out of my 3ds then I have any system lately. Fire Emblem was pure heat rocks.

@BrothaZay

What irritates me is the fact most of these sports games like 2k13, madden 13, and especially UFC 3

when you crank up the difficulty, the CPU starts to play cheap instead of a more harder realistic feel

anyone who has UFC 3 should know that playing on Expert/Simulation is just :wow: hard

These huge publishers want to keep games formulaic because they have to cater to shareholders and to ensure things are as profitable as possible. That's why you also see all this DLC and this 'subscription passes' model.

If you want to start seeing more creativity, you might have to see what is popping up in the indies and browse what games are being 'kickstarted'.

I swear video games now a days are either all cut scenes or games where you gotta spent countless hours doing meaningless shyt.

I knew I was kind of done with video games when I played Fallout after all the praise. The fukk I look like spending 2 hours looking through lockers and cabinets :what:

Now even the sports games are too real, I tried playing the new 2k and dribble the ball off my own foot like 3 times :why: It's too much now I just wanna dumb out and have fun
