If you're YOUNGI didn't even have a good reason.
I worked in "Applicant Services" for a background checking company. It was a pretty good job it was just becoming to much pressure. It was my first job and after only a few months I was already teaching a group of people much older than me. Even my supervisor didn't know how to do my job as it was a brand new thing they were starting when I first started with the company. Everyone else who started with me had moved on and I was the only person who knew how to do it (in my office, there was another office where the person who taught me worked not to far off). For months I was the only person doing my job and they kept telling me "we're working on getting new people." They finally got new people so I trained them for two weeks, then put in my two week notice, helped them out over that final two weeks and I was gone. I definitely regret leaving. I thought finding work would be easy, but Walmart is the first place thats called me back in months. I obviously should have found a new job before leaving my old one but I was a dumbass.
I got lucky and got a good job easily before so I underestimated how hard it is to get even a decent job and now I've learned my lesson.
I was actually about to apply to UPS before Walmart called me today. Might be a better idea.
I really should go to junior college atleast but I want to have some plan for what to study before just going and wasting my time.
Not really but I can atleast do it until I find something better.
I dont know what the pay is yet but probably somewhere around $9 an hour. It doesn't seem that bad the more I think about it
I agree on work ethic but I don't think Walmart is promoting people like that. My mom's been working there almost ten years and hasn't been promoted even once.
Yeah but this is Walmart. If they offered $18 a hour I would take it in a second but I doubt Walmart is paying that much. Some people would kill for any job. I'm lucky enough where I don't have to. I'm not trying to say theres anything wrong with being a janitor. I respect anybody who can put up with a shytty job for the money.
Yeah thats what I really don't like about it is those hours suck. I'm starting to think the actual job might be okay but those hours are gonna take awhile to get used to.
A lot of good points here. They did say it would be part time actually so I would still be able to search for something else. I do agree that I should go to school I just don't have any idea what I want do for a career.
