I didn't even have a good reason.

I worked in "Applicant Services" for a background checking company. It was a pretty good job it was just becoming to much pressure. It was my first job and after only a few months I was already teaching a group of people much older than me. Even my supervisor didn't know how to do my job as it was a brand new thing they were starting when I first started with the company. Everyone else who started with me had moved on and I was the only person who knew how to do it (in my office, there was another office where the person who taught me worked not to far off). For months I was the only person doing my job and they kept telling me "we're working on getting new people." They finally got new people so I trained them for two weeks, then put in my two week notice, helped them out over that final two weeks and I was gone. I definitely regret leaving. I thought finding work would be easy, but Walmart is the first place thats called me back in months. I obviously should have found a new job before leaving my old one but I was a dumbass.

I got lucky and got a good job easily before so I underestimated how hard it is to get even a decent job and now I've learned my lesson.

I was actually about to apply to UPS before Walmart called me today. Might be a better idea.

I really should go to junior college atleast but I want to have some plan for what to study before just going and wasting my time.

Not really but I can atleast do it until I find something better.

I dont know what the pay is yet but probably somewhere around $9 an hour. It doesn't seem that bad the more I think about it

I agree on work ethic but I don't think Walmart is promoting people like that. My mom's been working there almost ten years and hasn't been promoted even once.

Yeah but this is Walmart. If they offered $18 a hour I would take it in a second but I doubt Walmart is paying that much. Some people would kill for any job. I'm lucky enough where I don't have to. I'm not trying to say theres anything wrong with being a janitor. I respect anybody who can put up with a shytty job for the money.

Yeah thats what I really don't like about it is those hours suck. I'm starting to think the actual job might be okay but those hours are gonna take awhile to get used to.

A lot of good points here. They did say it would be part time actually so I would still be able to search for something else. I do agree that I should go to school I just don't have any idea what I want do for a career.

I say do it. I basically did it. I'm not embarrased at all.

I was broke, dropped out of college, living at home and like 19-20. Applied at Home Depot and they said I would be an overnight stocker, but when I got there they said they made a mistake, and I was actually "Code-50".

Basically I had to get carts out the parking lot all day and bring them back, then clean the bathroom. Str8 up.

I met some great people, one of which I still talk to as a close friend. I had so many oldheads give me game, and tell me how not to get stuck in that life.

Watching your friends make it, and work a soulless job can make you or break you. I think it will make you. I used to dream everyday. I thought to myself, if I get back into school, Im going to dominate. If I get ONE MORE CHANCE...

Some of us need to humbled in order to recognize the greatness we have in ourselves. Safe to say, I dont feel like going into what I am doing now, thats been discussed in other posts...but I am far from a "Code-50" boy now.

Be great youngin.

Bruh walmart was da funnest job I ever had, but I was a unloader plus worked in a college town, full of goofballs my age, and rednecks cacs who were always angry at everything, nikkas stayed having me :mjlol: :laff:
Had a bunch of slacking ass Puerto Ricans getting jumped outside Walmart... Workers Breaking wheels of carts when it was time for roundups... Dudes playing football with ice cream boxes.. Dudes coming into work drunk
Ehh it wasn't that bad but that overnight always had me fukked up

All I can take from it is every job I had after was never as bad as that

Having a job and income is better than no job. Take the job, work there for a little while and start applying for other jobs. Also, start formulating a plan for your future. Find what you want to do and take the steps to get it done.

I was a janitor for awhile at LA fitness, shyt is a breeze. You don't have a boss watchin all your moves, you clean up early then all you gotta do is chill and collect a check. I would finish everything quick then I'd work out for an hour and a half or so, no boss was even in the building so I never got in trouble for it even tho it was prohibited, only other coworker was a thot front desk girl. Funny shyt is they said I was the best custodian they had in years... so I started working even less :russ:

Then they tried to promote me to sales but I don't like doin that so I quit and moved on. I'd rather clean offices for 18hr tho like some custodians do, shyt is easy money and you can really bank if you start your own cleaning business.

fukk all that package handler shyt tho, they run their business's like a sweatshop. I did that once and quit after 2 days fukk FedEx and that line of work. I'm in great shape too but I ain't with that bendin down, pick up a 60 lb box and stack it in a truck in under 3 seconds at a time for 8 hours.
I know a self made millionaire off of their own cleaning business. I know Black men RIGHT NOW with government contracts for cleaning services. Janitorial work involves complex equipment and techniques. Stripping, waxing floors, etc., not easy.

If you get full time, especially if you're living at home, those 40 hours a week can add up quick and you'll have yourself a nice little bankroll. Having a janitor job is better than no job at all and just sitting around hoping something falls into your lap. Work that job, stack your cash, and in the meanwhile figure out what you want to do. In the meanwhile, keep your eyes open for any new opportunities/jobs and keep applying. It's much better to have cash in your pocket and an actual employment history than it is just sitting around chilling at home with gaps in your employment and no money coming in. The only way I'd recommend you sitting at home is if you're studying something like programming or some other aspect of IT and you're going full fledged with that...

Right now there is some short little mexican sombreh
Tsxl6CM.png
who works at a kmart, walmart,or a pizza cook who has no car, three kids, and he and his loyal equally short wife will haul them strollers on the bus to get around town.

They bodies maybe :flabbynsick: but they be holding them sombrehs down...(do staring at other men count? :dame: )

Sombreh makes it work, and that will probably be his life until he dies......why can't you? :francis:
