And working overnight means your days are gone, so it doesn't leave much time to search for other jobs or to even have much of a social life.
This. I just got off the later shift... I couldn't do a damn thing all summer cause of my hours. Now I'm working regiakr hours. I don't even care that I have to work Saturdays.

Been looking for work for awhile, applied all over the area but nobody wanna call me back. My mom says you can come work at Walmart with me, their hiring overnight stockers right now. All you do is stock the shelves now that doesn't sound very appealing to me but she says she's sure they'd hire me. :ehh:

I put in the application wait a week and just when I think they must not be interested I get a call on some "we're not hiring overnight stockers right now but if you change your application to overnight maintenance we can get you in for an interview."

I'm like maintenance sounds much more dignified, must be some type of manager :obama:

I ask my mom whats overnight maintenance she said its a janitor :sadcam:

I'm sitting here thinking if I should apply for this shyt or not. I live with my parents so I don't necessarily need to take this job but this seems like a sure thing and its not like I have better options right now.
Don't go to college brehs:snoop:
Have no idea what to do with your life brehs :snoop:
Quit a good office job with no backup plan brehs :snoop:

Where's all my janitor brehs on The Coli? :lupe:

Don't do it, you are too skilled for the janitor job. With your experience you can get another HR role similar to what you were doing before at your office job.
Listen to me....JOIN AN AGENCY to help you find work. Apply to several not just one. Some of the work may be temp or on a contract basis but at least you would be gaining better experience (which will help build your resume) compared to working as a janitor,

nikka I'll be 2 janitors before I do some package handler type shyt . That shyt need to be done by robots or at least 15 a hour

It's not that bad, depending on which Fedex you work at. Fedex Ground is a terrible place to work. You gotta unload entire trucks all by yourself and be able to lift super heavy shyt by yourself.

Fedex Express is a lot easier though. I worked there for 3 months and it was pretty chill. All you do is load and unload containers and there's not a lot of heavy packages. If you get a heavy one, you're supposed to ask your coworkers for help.

Overnight maintenance is a cakewalk compared to day time. U don't really have to deal wit customer(unless your store 24/7) And it mainly sweeping and buffing the floors and dumbing the trash

That being said all of the young maintenance people never lasted long, it's mainly the older ones that stick around
