Asuka was a fine challenger and a good candidate to drop the belt to, but I get it. Bianca's one of the faces of the franchise right now - immensely over, moving merch and she's who they send everywhere doing promo for the company. It's the kind of extended reign/push they should've done with Sasha but never did.

If she's not tired of carrying that wagon and all that comes with it, I don't blame them for keeping a good thing going.

Bianca is Ms. WrestleMania. She got Flair and Rhea in pipeline for Mania matches, but they definitely should prep her to be heel and keep investing into her Mania streak.

I wasn't invested in the Bianca/Asuka build up leading up into the match, and with it I skipped the match. I may go back and watch it.

I mean.. I don't completely agree with your take here because Cody had challengers lined up like Gunther, Solo Sikoa, Seth Rollins and a returning Randy Orton.

So they definitely could have made a title reign work. But I'm not mad at The Bloodline story continuing and maybe my guy Jey gets it done.

Like I said breh, Cody has been back for 1 yr, and was injured and off screen for 8-9 months of that time.
