nikkas was dropping 50-60 in the high-scoring, non-iso era of the 70's and 80's. kiki vandeweghe ass nikkas was dropping 50. nikkas was dropping 50-60 in the iso, slow down era of the 90's-early 2000's.

guys don't do it as often today because they don't want skip bayless calling them selfish the next morning, nor are they trying to ruin their efficiency taking tough shots.

can you imagine if there was no PER, or win shares, or fantasy sports, or the 24-hour news cycle? they'd be a different 60-point scorer every night

B. Jennings is concerned with efficiency? :usure: J Smoove? Melo? Gay? You still have gunners in todays game. It just so happens that most of them aren't really good enough to drop 50 or 60. The guys who are good enough are more focused on being complete players and winning rather than how many points they can put up. It's funny I keep seeing people talk about all these various people dropping 50 and I notice I am not seeing references to a whole lot of championships seasons. :heh: Kobe didn't go for 50 nearly as much when he was competeing for titles as he did when he was on an island carrrying a sucky team.

Isolation ball will return

2 ways

First because of rule changes that get rid of zone defenses. Ratings are down, less ratings = less money.

Or because offenses will become so efficient that the defense will have to change or they will get shyt on nightly

HEY LGBTWO: STOP LYING

This false conflation of "High Scoring" and "Inefficient" ? That's really only Allen Iverson and Kobe. In the past, most of the regular high scoring players shot VERY efficiently.

Mods, delete this thread and ban this cowboy fakkit permanently.

You just named a bunch of players, some of which didn't even overlap each others primes.

Irving, Westbrook, CP3, Rose, Rondo, Lillard, Wall, Lawson, Parker, Curry, Conley etc.

Every last one of these guys is very aggressive, whether it's searching for their shot, or just living in the lane looking for their teammates (Rondo/Conley).

Lack of interior defense, fam what are you talking about? So let me get this straight, there's no defense on the perimeter because of protecting perimeter players with cheap foul calls, and there's no interior defense as well? Yet some of the best defensive teams ever have played within the last 10 years, so how exactly are these teams doing it then?

You said "at any point of league history", so yeah I named players who didn't overlap, and could name more.

So what if we've had "some of the best defensive teams in the league within the last 10 years" (which ones?), how does that mean that LEAGUE-WIDE good defense is being played? Those are outliers to me, not the norm.

I don't think the NBA will see a perimeter player able to go off for 60+ on any given night like Kobe in his prime for a very long time. He's the goat scorer in NBA history.

Why are you still lying? THe GOAT scorer only has 2 scoring titles and has 1 50 point game in the playoffs?

He's the GOAT chucker and his primary record is MOST MISSED FIELD GOAL ATTEMPTS.

So? When you play with d league level talent for so long you have to take a lot of shots to make your team competitive. Brian Cook? Smush Parker? Luke Walton? :pachaha: Kobe was unstoppable in his prime on offense. There was literally nothing nikkas could do besides clothesline him.
