i try my best..but like earlier stated in the thread i feel like i come off as fake and disingenuous because no matter what i'm still in my head calculating shyt.

i'll be out at a live show that im not even part of..but in my head im writing rhymes or coming up with ideas...being in the middle of all of that just keeps my juices flowing and sometimes i dont meet the social quotas that i'd like to

Honestly I get what you mean, I use to do it consistently every event and then I pulled back on it as I realized that 90% of the people I come across aren't on the level, so to speak. I started to perceive many of them as disingenuous because they would repeat the same things verbatim or often make plans that they never follow through on. They posture, and yet they're likelyright in the position their meant to be and not going much further from there.

See the fact that u see this rap sht as some one dimensional perspective of lyricism is the reason why u make horrible trash music that nikkaz clown

There more to the craft than what u conclude to be "lyricism"

SO instead of talkin sht study from nikkaz like Jay and realize what still makes their music hot after all this time

or keep making trash music that is universally hated :manny:

I think there's a saying that there's fine line between genius and madman. Kanye is about to step over that line.

yes, they are

there is something wrong with everyone of your favorite music artist/musicians. I have played & studied all kinds of music and the stuff some of these folks pull off you can not explain how their brain works that way.

:dahell:

its pure genius ability

It goes both ways. Thats like the romanticized image of a genius, but many of the greatest musicians are just highly intelligent and open to new ideas... not necessarily recluses

There is being socially awkward, just because you know... thats how you are.

And then there's that social awkwardness that comes from being self awareness and self conscious and not feeling like you relate to others because you don't think or move the same... You literally get bored with mundane every day chit chat.

Most the times if your not thinking about idea's, theory's, possibilities or reasons as to why, how or if something can happen you just don't engage well with others. Most artist probably fall into this more so than anything else.... Its no way you should be socially awkward with having to interact with people almost 24/7.

There is a reason most people that are extremely good at what they do are awkward while "people person's" tend to just be ok/good at things over all but not especially good at one thing over another.

Just finished watching that 40 min video clip of Kanye West on The Breakfast Club

And just thought to myself, something I've had in my mind for a while... Genius' are socially awkward :ohhh:

Meaning like they

talk in spurts, with awkward pauses
talk louder than needed :pachaha:

Say innovative stuff that make people go :wtf:

Nas (Genius songwriter) seems like he's not involved in the conversation when on interviews

Kanye (Genius producer) talks louder than needed, can't seem to convey his thoughts verbally that well

Jay-Z (Genius songwriter and hit-maker) always has awkward facial expressions, that always lead to 30 page long threads on the Coli :russ:

My theory is while everyone is out partying or socializing with other people, the Genius' spend time on their craft, like 10 hrs a day, sometimes staying up till 3am perfecting their art
That leaves them with less opportunities to talk to more people, get acclimated to social norms, etc.

I don't mind it, as long as they keep making that classic music :ohlawd:, i'm good!

Also I want to add that social intelligence and musical intelligence have a proven correlation. So the Brian Wilson, Michael Jackson type of genius is in the minority

I actually read something recently talking about how exceptionally talented people/geniuses in any field generally are all some type of autistic . It listed like Einstein ,,Mozart, and tesla as people that had it in some way, and I think it's definitely true of a lot of musicians as well, em and Kanye being obvious examples.
