Damn near everyone in my social circle/age are now starting to pop out kids or get married and I ain’t even 30. How are y’all older brehs getting to 35+ with NO wife or NO kids and NOT feeling out of place with your peers and not getting hit by the social expectation/pressure to have at least one unless you’re not outcasted socially?:patrice:

I couldn’t imagine being that age without having at least one of the two when everyone around me my age has at least one:patrice:

DISCLAIMER: Do NOT run in here comparing y’allselves to a celebrity. You are REGULAR:unimpressed:
So you basically care what others think, you have fomo and you’re scared to live life for yourself? Got it.

Real talk. Do that cause you want to, not out of social obligation.

Edit. There are more people with kids cause their pull out game was weak versus planning them. Keep that in mind.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
If you're 35+ and your friends and family members your age have either a wife, kids or families while you don't, you are the odd person out :yeshrug:
That doesn’t make that person less than
Most people can’t even weather the storms of marriage and child bearing
If you are not centered with yourself
Fundamentally understand the sacrifices both endeavors take
Don’t do it
And this is coming from a twice married father
nikkas love imposing this bullshyt projection on to people
And be the biggest fukk ups in their marriages
Married a woman for all the wrong reasons
Then had the grand idea to have a kid knowing they don’t have the tools to raise said child properly
All in the name of legacy, societal pressure and for family members that ain’t going to help nor take care of your child when shyt hits the fan
Having a child is a duty
Being in a marriage is a duty
If you as a person knows in your heart of hearts that ain’t the move for you
That’s a good thing
i would rather be a social leaper than a miserable nikka in a marriage fukking a child’s life up
And 9/10
35+ marriages are just ending
Very rare do first marriages last the test of time
There also isn’t a guarantee your spouse or children will be there in the end
People need to do what’s right for them instead of worrying about some fukk up in their family or on Al Gores Internet projecting a perfect life with conjecture
While once you get off the screen
Your life resembles a horror movie of shytty mistakes and bad decisions

So?!? there is no pressure to do anything. Their lives are not mine. and worrying about that shyt is feminine

Could you imagine making it to +35 and having no wife and kids and THEN choosing the wrong woman
That would kill me more than not having a kid or a wife
Choosing the wrong woman and creating liabilities now that Im starting to acquire some wealth is much worse

You're missing the point.

By that age your age peers socially and family wise have either a wife or a child or both.

The process of your peers getting married and having children would have started YEARS BEFORE.

So with societal expectation + the process with your peers happening how are you then getting to 35+ without one of the two or even both if you are socially INCLUDED?

A millionaire among avg earners is the odd person. Don’t mean that it’s a bad thing. It just means he’s not the avg person.

An oddity isn’t always a bad thing sure. But being “older” and not being able to hold down and commit to a stable relationship is speaking more on the person, negatively.
