Are we finally ready to accept that rappers today are way richer than those in the 90s

I don't even know how people are running with this as fact. I mean when you look at individual members of NWA did in the 90's. Individual members of Wu Tang and even individual members of Bone Thugs. Master P being worth $400 million in 1998/1999 off music. You look at what Birdman and his brother was doing with Cash Money. We haven't seen anything like that since.

Well it stands to reason the same way fans are nostalgic about the artist you named there will be nostalgia about the rappers now.

Entertainment has always been feast or famine but the rappers you named never feasted like rappers are now

it’s a reason every rapper is referencing back ends. These dude can make at least 30k a weekend just doing walkthroughs

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it man. If that was the case I would've said Black Moon or Mic Geronimo.

Very, very few 90's rappers can do what I said. So why does it make sense to assume it'll be common for today's rappers, 30 years from now?

It's especially unlikely given the quick turnaround in the rap game these days.

Aren't tours now included in the 360 deals? And touring is only one source of revenue outside of recording music.

This has nothing to do with the OP

I don’t see how anyone can deny that there’s more money available today in rap

artist today are benefiting from lumps and lessons artist of the past went through

Any rappers that had a wave can group together and tour overseas. That’s not something reserved for the most endeared artist

That is not what the OP is saying at a. Breh is legit out here saying that some mid tier level rappers of today are richer than most of our favorite rapper's in the 90's. Do you know how crazy that sounds? Do you not realize that people legit had rappers that were worth 100's of millions for favorite rapper's in the 90's? Not everyone thought Master P was wack and people actually had him as one of their favorites. Ice Cube was people's favorite rapper in the 90's. Will Smith was rapping in the 90's. Bone, Wu, Dr. Dre were huge. Even Pac, Nas, and Biggie in the 90's. If we were to pull up the network of rappers from the 90's and compared them to now, many of you would be surprised.

Who ever contended this? This is an obvious fact

It isn't a fact. Several rappers were on the Forbes and some of them were near the top.

Biggie's latest Netflix documentary showed him doing shows for 10K a pop. He was one of the biggest artists in the game only getting 10K a show.

Of course new rappers are making more.
Artist are getting 50k to host parties these days and that’s just one way to get a bag these days

diddy and suge stole millions from pac and big lol none of the nikkas you named made money like that from rap outside master p who was a labelhead. Ice Cube literally said there was more money in movies n sht that's why he moved more to that

A bunch of rappers right now aren't in 360s cause of better business + more knowledge of shyt + buying masters early like 21 Savage

this is something that was missed when Method man asked how rappers are getting so much money now

they learned from the mistakes of older artist
