Put lebron in larry time and he averages 40ppg

Proof? Look what mj did to them.. They were used at the combination of strenght and speed. ..

Now it's a common thing lebron is just on top of that mountain but plenty of super athletes

Put Larry Bird on the Heat during the 2011 NBA Finals and the Heat win that series.

Jordan, Magic, and Barkley have all said that they'd rather have Bird take the final shot than LeBron.

Bird was a fukking assassin sharp-shooter in a much more competitive era. I get it's the Coli and Bird is a cac but the disrespect he gets on this site is mind-blowing.

That's nice. Doesn't change the fact that LBJ is factually a great clutch performer and if you don't let nostalgia/isolated incidents cloud your judgement there's zero reason to use this as a reason to take Bird over LBJ. I wouldn't say Bird faced better defenses than Bron in the playoffs either.

I don't discriminate against "cacs", Dirk is my favorite player in NBA history. LBJ is just better than Bird and it's not even remotely disrespectful to argue such.

Was Lebron really that much more than Dominique to say that his athleticism would have him averaging 40?

Lebron is the most clutch player in NBA history if we being honest

the final minute of playoff Q4/OT, Lebron is 13/27 and Kobe is 10/37 on game-tying/go-ahead field goals.

He has the most points in the 4 quarter in NBA history too

Dead serious. He's had to go through the best defenses of his generation. Thibs Bulls, your big three Celtics, Pistons, Howard Magic, Spurs, Pacers, Warriors. There is nothing weak about the defenses he's had to face.

and idk what to say if you don't see LBJ's case here or think it's somehow disrespectful to call him better than Bird

Bad Boy Pistons and Chicago Bulls > anything LeBron faced.

Because he hasn't won as much as Bird and hasn't proven himself like Bird has.

Larry went up against the Bad Boy Pistons and the Chicago Bulls in the East. Those were two of the toughest teams in the league. And despite his struggles with those teams and in the Finals against the Lakers

:duck: the bulls were 8 seeds when bird was facing them and they swept the bulls both times the bulls were a young team barely making the playoffs

The Bulls team Bird played in the '86 & '87 PS were not elite defensively nor were they remotely close to the powerhouses they'd later become. Your big three Celtics in '08 were better defensively than those Pistons.

Winning championships is a team accomplishment, not individual. LBJ would have as many if not more titles with better support in the past two seasons.

You're delusional if you think he hasn't proven himself

Pippen wasn't a better defender than Andre Iguodala?

Pippen wasn't a better defender than Paul Pierce?
