run for mayor (of a large city) on an anti homeless mess + transit reform ticket and toss the homeless in very large industrial meat grinders and feed the meat to the homeless. Sounds barbaric but we’d do it until there’s no more homeless. The toss out the leftover meat because who the fukk would want that anyway. Crazy, in theory but people are gonna rock with it :mjlit:

You mean a slower, more barbaric version of Thanos's plan?

Same thing is happening in Austin and the mayor is doing nothing about it. Our Texas governor may intervene though.

I get that they are human beings, but you can't have them in places of business! Sure they may not harm brehs, but what about brehettes and the elderly? Feces, needles, piss, dealing with a random homeless person who is probably suffering from some mental illness yelling and shyt when you're trying to work. :gucci: fukk all that.
It’s always been my idea to build mega blocks like in the movie dread

I don't know what to tell you if you think both parties are the same. One party has a ongoing war on worker's rights and the social safety net and the other is looking to expand those things to impact more people.

Never said that; but, I'll never the concede that the Democrats care.

Just those two points you posted; Obama extended the Bush tax cuts for the rich and Democrats are a big part of the ushering of the gig economy--aka working with zero protections of employment.

I understand the "lesser of two evils," but, people really thinking this is a holy war between angels and demons.

Hell, we're still being told by fellow voters "We gotta put over feeling aside to vote him/her in/out."

:dahell: That's been the talking point for 11 years now.

you mean Enrique Thanos from East Tremont? Then yea.

and I think it’s a solid plan. People want the homeless to be out of sight out of mind and not that the shyt is too much to hide, folks would ride behind any proven solution; even the not so humane ones. It will be a true test of these bootleg liberals that saturate this city. The kind who want integrated schools and the second that a school from Park Slope is targeted as the first one up, theyre like :whoa:

Man America has really done a good job of socializing a significant portion of us into believing in "rugged individualism" . Assuming the majority of the homeless are in such a state cause they couldn't leave the drugs alone is shameful. Have people been paying attention to what's been happening over the years? You have gigantic tax cuts for rich (again), a minimum wage that hasn't increased along the lines of inflation since the 70's, we just had a recession that destroyed home ownership for a huge a number of black people, exploding health care costs, housing shortages, and the list goes on. If you know all this why in the world would you think that it's largely drug addicts?

The projects and the hood is considered luxury condos and middle class homes in 3rd world countries.

Some of y'all haven't seen extreme poverty.

Think cinder blocks as walls and sheet metal as your roof.

so because other places experiences "extreme poverty" poverty over here is what, somehow better. You saying people should be happy with American level poverty?

Well, that is kind of the idea. It's unsafe and indefensible to have them on the streets, the rate of intra and inter homeless violence is staggering in metro areas. The shelters would, in my vision, (which is obviously very expensive) offer cohesive treatment for mental illness, drug and alcohol addiction, and job training. It's a re entry to society program. The ones that can work, will do local services, like construction, and cleaning for wages. It isn't that I am without empathy, quite the opposite, but there needs to be decisive action taken. You can't just have counter societies living openly in the streets. They are vulnerable to exploitation, violence, addiction.
You can when most people don't care. Most people are too busy trying to not end up in the same situation. The idea you proposing sounds good until you start to see those taxes coming out your check. And that won't address the issue of people who don't want to be in a shelter. Do we start forcing people into shelters or lock them up?
