You learned it was Mary who is of the lineage of Kind David? Not Joseph?

and You believe that adam and eve were the ONLY humans on earth?

just clarifying

Based off Matthew 1 and Luke 3, there are two different lineages in the Gospels. Yes you may say I learned she was from the line of David.

I have addressed the topic of first humans on this thread.

Do you think Muhammad was born in Palestine, or Mecca?

Thanks for asking a question man, I'll give my best to answer it.

1. What The Bible Says

Revelation 22: 18 - 19

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

2nd Timothy 3: 16 - 17

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2. What History/Tradition Says

As before in this thread, the Bible as we know was finalize until the 4th Century. After that it was locked away from the common people. Protestant Reformers lead too the publishing of Bibles in the many tongues found in Europe. They removed the Apocrypha because they felt it was not sound to be included was never mention by OT or NT writers. Later churches such as the Jehovah's Witness and LDS added to the Bible what they deem as right. Also with the aid of archaeology, more older manuscripts are being found. These new manuscripts do not take away from the message of the Bible but more how to arrange it and how to better translate ancient Hebrew and Greek to modern languages. It's one of the reasons why there are so many new versions of the Bible in English.

3. How Do I Apply It

The Bible is the best selling book of all time, the most read book of all time, and the most stolen book of all time. It's been critique by just everyone under the sun. Denominations have differed on what should be in the Bible since during and after the Protest Reformation in Europe. The Catholics remain to have extra chapters in some books and and an entire dedicated to inter testament material. The Protestant Churches, even with there differences, have all agreed the 66 Books in the Bible is enough. Newer Denominations and even non-denominational Christians have poked around the Bible for their liking. I believe that God has closed His canon many years and with the help of technology has lead to the discovery of better manuscripts to give us an even picture of the story of the Bible.

dude they were still writing verses to the "bible" before it was even canonized in its modern form. Even above that, your FIRST scripture indicates that even the different versiosn of the bible contradict such a claim.

1. Were Jews really slaves in Egypt

Thanks for your question man, I'll do my best to answer it.

1. What The Bible Says

Genesis 47: 1 - 6

1So Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, “My father and my brothers, with their flocks and herds and all that they possess, have come from the land of Canaan. They are now in the land of Goshen.”
2 And from among his brothers he took five men and presented them to Pharaoh.
3 Pharaoh said to his brothers, “What is your occupation?” And they said to Pharaoh, “Your servants are shepherds, as our fathers were.”
4 They said to Pharaoh, “We have come to sojourn in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants' flocks, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. And now, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”
5 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.
6 The land of Egypt is before you. Settle your father and your brothers in the best of the land. Let them settle in the land of Goshen, and if you know any able men among them, put them in charge of my livestock.”

Exodus 1: 1 - 14

1These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each with his household:
2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
4 Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
5 All the descendants of Jacob were seventy persons; Joseph was already in Egypt.
6 Then Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation.
7 But the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them.
8 Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.
9 And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us.
10 Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”
11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. They built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses.
12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel.
13 So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel work as slaves
14 and made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

2. What History/Tradition Says

Besides the Bible, there isn't a clear record if or even when the Hebrews/Israelites/Jews resided in Egypt.

3. How Do I Apply It

This a tricky one, aren't modern Jews descendants of the Hebrews of the Bible? Some might say yes and some might say no. I would say use science to find out the answer. The Israelites compared to the kingdoms surrounding them, were small and always under attack. They would stray from God and become exiled from the lands too many times to count. There's a whole story of how 11 tribes "disappeared" of the face of the earth. However there have been found pockets of Judaism scattered around in Africa, Asia, and Europe who look nothing like modern day Jews. I believe that story did happen and modern day Jews are either the physical and/or spiritual descendants of the Hebrews in Egypt. There isn't much in secular history that says so but archaeology may give us an concrete answer in the future.

@Joey24, if introduced to information that contradicts what you know in the bible, will you always choose the bible? Cause it sounds like you're selectively using passages to defend your faith...

I have mention I have struggle with my faith, any Christian who doesn't is lying or isn't a Christian. The reason I'm selecting Scripture is because it would be too much to through whole chapters and commentaries into your face, you and I don't have the time for that. You can share any information to carry out this discussion, it's more than welcome.

I could and should pull up dates for you but it's late and I know I can come back to it later. The books written by John were the last books (John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Revelation) to be written in the Bible. Everything else had been completed. This was closed to end of the first century on the isle of Patmos. The OT had been preserved in both Hebrew and Greek by then and all of the first apostles and Paul were long dead.

Thanks for asking man, I'll take the time to answer your questions clearly.

For your first question

1. What The Bible Says:

James 1: 5 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Proverbs: 1: 22 - How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

2. What History/Tradition Says

History dictates that we are to repeat the failures of the past if we do not learn from them. Just as how we can observe that we lack the wisdom and knowledge as individuals and as a society, the same was true. There were things that were made known after the passage of time and events. We still ask questions because there is still much we don't know and things that we haven't learn from the past.

3. How Do I Apply It.

Throughout the Bible and human history God has been more than willing to give men knowledge and wisdom if they ask sincerely. I know I have struggled with doubt because there are I don't know or understand. God did promise that He will things known in the right time. It takes faith to know that God will do as He says.

For your second question:

1. What the Bible Says

Matthew 7: 21 - 23 -
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 5: 43 - 44
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5: 19
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

2. What History/Tradition Says

After the deaths of the apostles, the church slowly became to gain political in Roman Empire. It wouldn't be until the 4th century when the emperors of Rome decreed that Christianity to be the state religion and remove the persecution of the followers of Jesus. At the same time pagan traditions creep into the doctrines. It is really clear to see why most of us know that Christmas, Easter, and Halloween makes no sense in a Christian setting. Discrimination of the Jews started long before the formation of the Roman Empire and grew after the rebellion of the Jews and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Anti-Semitic views remained strong because of Roman hatred of the pesky Jews and Christians who wished to remove any association from the Jews. The Catholic Church received ultimate power after 476 AD after the fall of the Western Half of the Roman Empire. They did wicked things to those inside and outside of the church. Though things have progressed from the Middle Ages, the Protestants didn't learn anything from there predecessors and were guilty of same crimes as the Catholic Church.

3. How Do I Apply It

God never planned for death to enter the human scope. When sin entered the world, man was doomed to die. The value of human life diminished and lives have been lost over the conquering and stabilization of power, wealth, and prestige. God promises to not only protect His people, to right every wrong every right, and reveal why things happen in accordance to human history. This does not remove the pain and suffering cause immediately. I hope one day the church would own up to it's mistakes and honestly try to help those in need but I know this will not come because the end is coming and things have and will get worse. The only constant is God make things right in His time.

For your last question:

1. What The Bible Says

Proverbs 4: 5 - 8

5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

2. What History/Tradition Says

Just like the first question, there are things we do not know and understand. That does not mean we are not sensible or contain common sense. The phrase "common sense" is not found in the Bible and was popularize by Thomas Paine. Every philosopher, parent, preacher, and teacher can attest that we are still learning and common sense can take us so far, though many have stated society has lacked common sense for years.

3. How Do I Apply It

God has given me a mind to understand complex things. We were made higher than any other organism in the world. In the Genesis 2 we were given dominion over the world. However in the next chapter, man fell and the connection between God and man was broken. I believe God has given more than enough knowledge to hold a conversation, do complex tasks, and become better people. He desires us to not to just be good enough though. He has gifts ready to pour to anyone ask with a sincere heart and that includes wisdom.

The bible says that plants were created before the sun and that 4 days had passed before the sun was created.

So I'm just saying...how is that ecologically possible?

Christianity is a white man's religion. Yes or No?

Based on your answer, it will tell me alot about you.

Thanks for taking a time for writing a question, I'll do my best to answer.

1. What The Bible Says

John 3: 16 - 17

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Acts 17: 26 - 27

26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,
27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us

Philippians 2: 9 - 1

9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 10: 11 - 13

11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

2. What History/Tradition Says

Christianity has been centralized once in Europe and now in America, too groups of land known for the high level's of white population and Christianity. Christianity has fallen off in Europe especially after WWI and WWII. America also too, though still known for it's high Christian population, has taken a decline in both popularity and status. Christendom however has it roots in modern-day Israel, located in the Middle East, a region that has Africa to the South, Asia to the East, and Europe to the North. Founded during the Pax Romana, it was the best climate for ideas to be spread over the Roman Empire. The empire boasted a large army, a centralized languages, and roads that connected all the major cities to it's capital, Rome in modern-day Italy. What was started by a Jewish carpenter in Galilee, the message has spread to most of the world.

3. How Do I Apply It

Jesus is not just for white people, nor did he come to white people prestige and power over all. That's simply not stated anywhere in the Bible. Even before Jesus was born, God promised to bless the entire world through his lineage. That doesn't sound like a God who only seek to save a certain group of people. While it is true that the Hebrews/Israelites/Jews were the chosen people, they didn't understand why they were picked. They were to share God with all their neighbors. Instead they married them and worshiped their gods. It happened too many times in the Old Testament. God promised Eve before the formations of nations a savior for the entire world. Jesus was sent to fulfill the prophesy to "Draw all men unto Him". Sadly many people have used the Bible for their own agendas. The Bible forewarns of this and what God has in store for those who abuse His Word and His people. I believe God is a universal God who still has a universal message for the world today.

Brother and thanks for the response , I guess what i'm failing to understand from what I'm reading about your deity Yahweh is if you have the abilities of being all knowing , all powerful and omnipresent to name a few. Why would you send a message down that you know will get misinterpret? I would expect that from human beings but not a all knowing deity. :yeshrug: I mean it would be nothing to clear up the confusion between your different denominations since he would have know that before hand. But i'm good homie on the PM and thanks for the advice.

It's all about interpretation. The Bible states spiritual things are spiritually discerned. Just like people view a picture or video differently, so have people interpret what they have seen. The truth will be reveal in due time. Thanks for replying bro.
