Comparing age-to-age, how many years in MJ's own career would it take before you could say he was undeniably superior to Bron?
This was their respective career trajectories. Worth remembering that pace was way faster in the 80s and early 90s, way slower in late 90s and 00s:
18/19yo: MJ 3rd option on a college team that wins tourney (14-4-2), LBJ 1st option on 35-win NBA team that doubled its wins from previous year (21-6-6)
19/20yo: MJ got upset early in ACC and NCAA tourneys (20-6-2), LBJ went 42-40 in the NBA but missed playoffs (27-7-7)

wins title over Thunder (27-8-6)
27/28yo: MJ wins 61 games and
wins title over Lakers (32-6-6), LBJ won 66 games and
wins title over Spurs (27-8-7)
28/29yo: MJ wins 67 games and
wins title over Blazers (30-6-6), LBJ won 54 games and loses to Spurs in 5 in Finals (27-7-6)
29/30yo: MJ wins 57 games and
wins title over Suns (33-7-6), LBJ won 53 games (injuries) and takes Warriors to 6 in Finals (25-6-7)
30/31yo: MJ sucks at baseball, LBJ won 57 games and

38/39yo: MJ wins 37 games (injuries) and misses playoffs (23-6-5), LBJ on pace for 45-50 wins and.....? (25-8-7)
39/40yo: MJ wins 37 games and misses playoffs (20-6-4), LBJ.....?
Considering the pace differences, when do you even say the actual Jordan "clearly surpassed" Bron? There's no case there before the second three-peat....so around 34 or 35 at the earliest, if even then? And you want to pretend that someone "the next Jordan" is just going to come into the league and look clearly better than Bron now? What was MJ doing before his mid-30s that LBJ didn't do at the same time just as well?
