What city do you wanna end up in?

...and a white candidate winning would be a slight oddity among many of the local elections now. the trump backlash has had a number of black candidates across the country winning by a sizeable margin. And the black candidates who are losing are aren't getting blown out.
Id like to get back to Charlotte eventually, but Im on a wandering path right now, I just want to move around

I'm still registered to vote in gwinnett /shrug

Atlanta is bullshyt in general, tho.

I could never take that city seriously. What are they doing to tackle that steadily increasing STD/HIV rate?? That's my question
Maybe you should stop believing goofy propaganda smh

I'm sure there were many twists and turns during the race, but when I was down there the first weekend in October, it was pretty clear that it was going to come down to Keshia and the white chick (I believe the white chick was actually slightly ahead in the polls at that point) and neither was going to get enough votes to avoid a runoff. I don't think Tuesday's results surprised anybody who's been following the race.

I actually met Caesar Mitchell randomly on Martha's Vineyard in August, and at that time I think he was in great position (from what I was told). By time I checked in on it October, not so much lol

Yeah once Kasim officially backed her it was a wrap.

Forgive me, brehs. I didn't expect to be attacked like this in here because of a genuine concern I had. I apologize, family.

Remind me to never offer critique to another city again.

I’m sure the black woman will win

Right. LOL @ this bait thread. I'm disappointed in you @The HONORABLE SKJ Everyone down here in the know said that it would come down to a runoff. There were like 8 candidates splitting the black vote while the white lady had nobody going against her.

ATL aint bout to elect a white lady. BUT this is a wakeup call that we need to get our shyt together locally. Too much in-fighting between the black candidates.

Kasim focused way too much on Atlanta international reputation and their Black perception than the actual Blacks who have been residents of Atlanta. Blacks lost a lot of business capital during Reeds run. At one time in the 90s, this is what made people like my parents, well to do.

When Reed went to the Bliderberg conference, is when he changed for the worse. Atlanta Black business district has been powerful for over 100 plus years. The old money still is powerful both the new money isn't real anymore. It's all entertainers. Those tend to have a shelf life.

Bait thread?

Yes u are correct I won't deny it :ehh:

I was simply using this sensational title to bring attention to the more serious problem which u just brought up lack of soladority amongst the political and Civic personalities claiming to rep Black Atlanta...

Its been on my mind lately as I sit here eating breakfast at my alumni house here in Adamsville

And I'm not an ATL resident ...

But I am a Georgia resident and proud voter

I voted early yesterday in my Augusta area elections so I can arrive in ATL later that day to witness what was taking place here

I'm just concerned

I don't wanna see ATL change from its beautiful black cultural and economic power base....

I mean no harm breh :manny:

exactly. And im a person who lives in unincorporated Atlanta (dekalb county) and i was able to Deebo my way into voting. The major issue is the field was too crowded. There was like 6 brehs running and they split the vote. The only white candidate was Mary Norwood. She doesn't have much of a chance of winning IMO, but if cats wasn't being so selfish and dropped out when they knew they had no chance (Michael T. Sterling, John Eaves, Kwanza Hall), maybe there would be no run off. I voted for Keshia Bottoms only because i thought she was the best candidate that had a chance of winning. She knows my wife's ppl, and she is a decent person. All of the candidates were flawed. I just dont want that CAC Mary Norwood to win. Not only is she a elitist cracker, she is also a Republican.

All of the shyt about gays and AIDS and other stuff is just typical ATL bashing that has nothing to do with the topic.
