Capped on jobs for blacks? What does that even mean? Stop talking out of your dumb ass. If you're black in Atlanta and can't get a job the problem is you.
Too many Blacks in Atlanta job market when not enough of us own companies and are willing to pay industry standard or more. My dad owned businesses but he paid higher than industry standard and had businesses throughout NE GA and South Fulton. But most nikkas who own seem to think they can overwork nikkas and pay them less

It's was really her and Keisha that actually had a chance.

Atlanta is also getting gentrified. But white people and progressive black people are moving in.

To be honest it's half way a good thing.
Downtown is an eye sore. I just wish they fix up Auburn Ave and keep it black.

Lots of black people I know that came to visit Atlanta didn't like the downtown area.

I'm glad they closed down The Underground. They need to do something about the shady characters that hang around five points Marta all day.

:picard: How dare you!

I have such fond memories of Underground ATL

I bought my first gold Herringbone there during the early 90s as a gift to myself for graduating high school

Took my first girlfriend there for a shopping outing

Fast forward to 2012 took my son there to eat lemon pepper wangs for the first time

The 7 Black candidates, not demographic shifts, is the real issue. We have no code.

We have no code cause everybody ain't eating. That was the biggest thing I saw in Atlanta. Its cliques and shyt, if you not in the loop, it's a wrap for you

Truth. My cousin was roommates with Caesar Mitchell back at Morehouse so that's for whom he's been campaigning. My family in Atlanta run in Maynard Jackson, Herman J. Russell family circles so my assumption was that that crowd was mostly backing Mitchell.

My mentor was roommates and on the football team with John Eaves back when he was at Morehouse. Mentor is pretty big too but he's not originally from Atlanta.

What's messed up about it is that my mentor and Mitchell were members of the same Omega Psi Phi chapter at Morehouse so there would have been easy backing there but both Eaves and Mitchell essentially split the Morehouse vote.

Not to mention, Vincent Fort being a Clark Atlanta graduate splintering, even more, the AUC base vote.

Even more crazy, cousin's wife is in some of the same organizations as Keisha Lance Bottoms so that's who she threw her support behind.

But ya'll right, that's one of the things I've always hated about Atlanta, there just too many cliques who don't be on code and not enough consolidation of black power among the younger generations.

Y’all just don’t understand how long Norwood been at this.
Her pull is strong and with the current political climate the way it is, Plus the fact black ppl don’t care to vote anymore...
