Obviously he's a part of the problem since he's on the team (and he throws some ill advised interceptions), but the main problem with that team is the defense. They have no defensive toughness or scheme to stop anyone. if they built a defense around Ryan and Julio Jones, then the Falcons will be a force. Ryan is the LEAST of the problems in Atlanta and to remove him would fukk the franchise up worse
And why do you think the defense is terrible? I will tell you cause all the money is on the offensive side of the ball. The offense is suppose to be carrying the defense. Problem is they aren't consistent enough.

What are you talking about? You answered your own question: they have not spent any money on defense and its showing; they have mediocre players across the defense and they got raped last Sunday. That's problem; soft, mediocre players because the front office won't spend money on the defense...they could have had Robert Quinn or Aaron McDonald in St. Louis; How about Jeremy Hill in Seattle? There are many draft choices they could have gotten in Atlanta, but they failed.

I mean the guy is getting payed 100 mill, has had weapons his whole career has not had terrible lines up until these past 2 seasons still makes terrible choices didn't show any scrambling abilities up until this year doesn't show any common sense and he's NOT a problem?

Offense only scored 3 points against Carolina

Left the defense hanging against Cleveland when the D kept getting the ball back

Displayed no common sense and threw a terrible interception against Detroit. And that is just this year. What am I missing about the guy?

You just said he has not had terrible lines except these last two seasons...guess what they did 2 seasons ago? Lost rhe NFC championship by one endzone play; the line sucks these past two seasons and he struggles (like Romo in Dallas before this year)...so what exactly are you arguing again?

My point is because the offense is where the money is they are the problem. The nfc championship a couple years back the offense scored Zero points in the 2nd half. I don't know how much they scored in tbe Seattle game can't much cause they bately scraped by.

The Falcons despite what their records were showing weren't good.

Smith needed to be fired, but the Falcons' real problem is they are and have been the softest team in professional football for the past 3 years. The hardest nikka on the team was Brent Grimes and they let him walk for absolutely no reason. I can't even remember the last time I saw a highlight of an Atlanta player hitting somebody. Wasn't shocked at all that they let the Panthers come in their house and treat them like that on Sunday. Nobody on that squad is about that life. Especially not at the positions that matter (the offensive and defensive lines)

The Defense is the real problem no matter what you guys think of Matt Ryan. The most they would do to him is restructure his contract if it comes down to it but that's it, he's basically a Falcon for life like it or not. Think about this, The Falcons have had a a defense ranked in the top 20 a total of 3 times in 12 years and the closest they've come to the top 10 is 12th :mindblown:. This team doesn't have a "Richard Sherman", "JJ Watt", "Luke Kuechly" etc. on Defense that teams have to plan for, hell on Offense their only person that attracts attention is Julio and that depends on if he's hurt or not. The whole team looks like what a Undrafted Football team would look and play like, just a bunch of soft players that got in the league because they were their best player on their suck ass team. When I saw highlight tapes of some of these players Dimitroff selected I had to :snoop: nikkas had VHS quality tapes playing at High School stadiums and shyt :beli: nikka has been here since 08 and the only good picks he's had are Matt, Julio and Trufant, everybody else is injury prone or Average aka not even Top 15 in their position. One of the bottom 5 GMs in the league :camby:

ATL…overly
I'm done talking football with anybody blaming Matt Ryan for the Falcons failures the past couple seasons. The CAR game was a culmination of all of the failure on this team...I wouldn't blame that game on one person if I tried, that was a complete organizational failure, from owner to the last player on the practice squad.

As far as HC candidates go, gimmie Quinn outta Seattle. Not interested in McDaniels, don't know enough about Gale and not sure how I feel about Rex down here, but he'd be my second choice

I agree, him or Rex. Get McDaniels and we're going 0-16 next year :snoop:

And I still believe Dimitroff is getting :camby:'d after the HC search is over, along with the rest of the staff

Matt Ryan may not be the problem, but Atlanta made him a problem because they gave him too much money and now they don't have enough to spread around on the defensive side of the ball. I've said this since they did it. Matt Ryan will not win a Super Bowl for Atlanta, and I'm a Falcons fan. It will not happen as long as he's there.
