I appreciate all 3 of these players, It's probably wrong but fun to downgrade these guys to boost up your favorite.

Been a good succession for the NBA going from MJ to Kobe to Lebron. I do hope somebody like Luka will be up next and be just as polarizing. And we'll continue this debate with a new guy added to the mix long after Lebron retires

I envision 20 years from now, a Charles Barkley type (probably Draymond) will be saying the next extremely accomplished guy is not on Lebron's level and the debates will continue lol

Barkley mentioned 3 guys MJ, kobe and LeBron. I just mean those are the guys who fans most debate as best of their eras.

That's all

Kobe shooting percentage is trash for a player that is considered goat. kobe is not close to lebron or jordan
While supremely skilled and a ferocious competitor he was not as good at playing basketball as the other two. It's crazy we're still shoehorning him into this convo. He's the greatest Laker. This isn't an insult.

What era was Kobe the best in?

Shaq dominated the league after Jordan, but revisionist history now credits Kobe for riding Shaq coat-tails.

Like I said, no one talks about him getting swept in his prime because it came after 3 finals/2titles and he had a bum knee. And PJ punched Pau during a game. In 2012 we got screwed out of CP3 and Pau had checked out and LO went on a suicide mission. Leaving out context again

You keep leaving out context and dont wanna accept some shyt Bron did to himself. 2011 he was acting like a frontrunning clown and thats why his choke job stuck so hard. Was Kobe mocking the Pistons as he was playing like ass against them? No...

You say Kobe played 2nd fiddle but again, real hoopers and heads know the context. Kobe saved the team in 2000 and dominated the 2001 playoffs to the point where PJ called him the best ever at running the triangle and Shaq called him the best in the league during the Spurs series. In 2001 PJ admitted to costing Kobe a scoring title to make Shaq happy. So while YOU wanna make it seem like he was just a lowly sidekick, real heads who understand context know he was 1B and in a certain ways better than Shaq in that time period.

No one holds 2007 or 2015 against Bron because we understand context. For 2018, he ran Kyrie out of town so thats why he doesn't get a pass from people.

You're hung up on Pete Meyers but you're forgetting both Luke and Smush had double digit scoring seasons with Phil and we made the playoffs with absolute trash rosters. We won a title with Vladimir Radmonivic starting. We had guys like Jordan Farmer and Sasha Vujacic be productive guys and they never did shyt no where else. Phil had a trend of utilizing random nikkas properly, thats why he made use of Pete Meyers. PJ is the GOAT coach for a reason.

also, you keep leaving out the fact the Bulls also added Toni Kukoc who became a serviceable player as well. The Bulls offense went from 2nd in 93 (#1 in 91 and 92) with MJ to 14th in the league in 94 without him, but their defense stayed solid. That's why they were able to win 55 games. Defense. Again, PJ's coaching.

Reggie Miller didnt barely averaged 20ppg in 94 :mjlol: he wasn't gonna carry the Bulls nowhere while Scottie stayed on some wishy washy shyt
Context matters to Bron haters? :mjlol: The only argument his haters cling to is his finals record. Kobe nor Jordan are winning in 2007 dragging a trash roster to the finals, they aren't winning in 2015 if Pippen/Grant or Pau/Lamar get injured, and MJ isn't winning in 2018 if Pippen demands a trade-- which btw, would have happened if the Bulls played in this era. You say Lebron ran Kyrie out of town but Pippen was just as disgruntled about his situation in Chicago. Not to mention Lebron facing a team with two MVPS, an all-star, a DPOY, and a 6MOTY for two of his finals losses. Lebron haters ignore all of that context to get their superteam and finals record jokes off so the fact that you're begging for context now is rich.

That's the point though, they have the best coach in the league and added decent depth. They just had a Michael Jordan sized hole at SG. Replace Jordan with an all-star SG/wing, if you don't think Reggie would have won then fine put a player like T-mac or even Paul George in that era and place them on the 1994 Bulls.. They're winning a chip. The drop in production from MICHAEL JORDAN to PETE MYERS can't be overstated.

It’s a fact Lebrons teams are more stacked than Jordan’s

The same nikkas that say this; be the same nikkas to scream that the 90s bulls would shyt all over any Lebron chipping team in any ruleset era.

Sports discourse has gone to shyt the last decade or so. nikkas don't even care to be consistent anymore. Its all emotion now.

He's not the greatest laker either.

Just the most recent laker great and G henvhe died right afterwards.

Truth be told, LeBron is already passing him up in laker greatness. Even got players on the Lakers that passed when Kobe tried to get them to sign.

:stopitslime:

He went 48th in the draft and was a stash pick that didn't even come over to play until the following season.

this is where we downplay all the talent around Kobe. Gotta love it.

A lot of cats talking didn’t live through the Jordan era. Acting like the Bulls teams were trash. MJ and Kobe had one thing in common. Phil Jackson/top tier front offices. Never gets brought up though.

MJ still GOAT but folk talk pure shyt.
