Just because they're different type of safeties don't mean it's disrespectful to compare the two:skip:

TO and Moss are two different type of WRs and people been comparing the two forever.

Just say "fukk the Steelers" and keep it moving.

fukk the Steelers :birdman: Ed is still the gawd too :blessed:

What does Ed Reed look like without an all time great front 7 in front of him for like a decade? If he has to consistently step up to stop the run he has a different career.

:whoa:

still a top ten Dback

Him playing with great teammates up front doesn't alter the fact that he was a gamebreaker on both ends. Reed was a runstopper too, and showcased it when necessary, its just because Baltimore normally had a dominant front 7 you could use Reed's talent as a roamer against the pass more often...

And people need to stop using the "different type of safeties" excuse. Brady and Manning are different type of QBs and it never stopped a comparison. They were the Brady and Manning of safeties for their era and Reed played strong safety too, did Troy ever play both positions?

Reed is the greatest safety I've seen, Troy is right behind him with Earl coming on strong. That's no slight to Troy because he was worth the price of admission but Reed had everything in his bag you could ask of a safety--->EVERYTHING...

but they were asked to do different things, and had different pieces around them, the same could be said for those two, so you can’t necessarily side by side compare them
