I liked fukwitme, ocean, futw, heaven and that's about it. Verses and beaches shoulda been full songs. Album is too long and mediocre tbh

I just feel jay has nothing new to say since bp3 and he is not creative enough in his riding to make his verses interesting. A lot of the verses are all over the place and the album doesn't sound coherent, it feels like he just got a bunch of the top producers and laid verses

You can tell this album was rushed to be put together in a few weeks. I wish jay would take his time to craft a real album, just because he can make a bunch of songs in a few weeks don't mean he should.

I can't help but compare this album to LIG, nas is a much better storyteller and it makes the difference. Queens story comes to mind why can't jay make something like that, he has no depth

Timbo did a great job on production but a lot of the beats are too weird. This isn't rock and roll I don't want to hear pink Floyd type changes in the beat or distorted vocals on the hook

I'll give it 3/5. I just can't relate to most of what jay raps about. I don't give a fukk about Picasso and Basquiat. He wants to fit in with that rich 1% crowd but they don't mess with hip hop like that so why bother, all you do is alienate a lot of fans.... gimme vol3 jay back plz

Another thing jay stop referring yourself as king, crown and God. If the material was good enough the fans would give you that title. Just bc you keep saying it don't make it true, sounds forced

It's aight production saved it. Lyrics subpar for a MC like jay. But the jay I remember has long been gone.

Personally he ain't saying shyt besides Oceans and the ivy shyt even though he been had a kid long ass time he prolly don't even acknowledge(I'm prolly wrong on that but fukk it). I like ye's newer joint musically more.

All I had to do was search for posts containing the word "fakkit" by Gravity... nothing but Jay-Z threads/posts came up

But hey Im just pulling shyt out of my ass right? :heh:

U cant just enjoy Jay's music & respect his hustle in peace. You have to go on a pro-camel jihad to set the Jay hating infidels straight. You have mental issues.

Thanks for exposing that Stan.

why not though? nikkas act like lyrics are the end all of rap music.

well kind of.

Id actually say magna carta is a 3 though.. Ive already gotten sick of it.. no substance at all

the production gets kind of stale too

So someone like Young Jeezy who is said to have good production, but raps about absolutely nothing... his albums are at least a 4? lol
