When I was living with my ex, I did exactly this and after a while he hated it.. He said I was working too much, and spending too much time with my girlfriends. He even thought I was part lesbian because I did spend too much time with them. Op, I am speaking as a woman that has been in this situation before. I don't really think it's a good idea too be honest. But hopefully your situation will turn out for the better. Who idea was it anyways?

Oh damn... I mean each relationship will require different amounts of time spent together and apart I guess. I’m the type that doesn’t need my SO up under me all day every day; I HAVE to have my own space away in order for my relationships to last. It sounds like you just had a clingy azz dude lol.

Did he have abandonment issues or anything? Mom, dad, or someone he loved just left him at a young age or something like that?

Wow, I have nothing else to add. This is wifey material brehs.:obama:

but... especially the bolded. I swear 90% of all arguments could be avoided if men/women understood this.

I’m putting it in my prenup. Do not talk to me unless it’s an emergency for 1 hour after I get home from work.

Stay out each other business!

both of you move freely as you would if you still lived separately.

dont get on each other nerves

Do not try to cheat while living together

Don’t count on her to pay any of your bills if she moves in with you.... even if it was agreed on prior.

I had issues with this as well with my ex fiance....very true, can't count on her to help out EVEN if it was agreed.

Well when I started dating him he did say his father passed a year before we got together

My best advise is to have space of your own. Some days ya'll will be in disagreement and not on good terms. It's best to have a separate space you can chill in the crib. Hell some days she may not feel like being bothered with you and vice versa, even if you aren't in a fight. Point is, give each other space at times.

Shacked up with a hoe for 2 months over the holiday season since I was working and didnt go see my family. that 2 months felt like 2 YEARS :wow:
Lets just say we never fukked with each other after that period, and I swore never to shack up with a woman again, I dont care how short the period is unless we're starting a family.

Goodluck breh, you're gonna need it :francis:

Another thing, woman take smelly shyts sometimes. Be prepared for that first time you randomly walk in a bathroom at the wrong time. :damn:

It's tough to get through when it does happen. Took me a day to not be like :gucci: every time I walked past her...then I realized she must've got hit upside the head at some point and didn't say a word.

It's not the same breh. And this still doesn't answer what the downsides of cohabitation before getting engaged are.
You are getting to caught up on the engagement. The way I see it is if you don't plan on making that commitment (engagement then marriage) then it's not much of a point in living with each other.
