The bars are there and I like it and copped the CD. The tracks I like are sly green, one way flight, legend, war paint and burden of proof. There might be something missing tho I need to give it more spins it’ll probably grow on me.

top 5 so far
1.Fktg
2. price of tea in China
3. Lulu
4. Alfredo
5. Burden of proof

top 5 could change in the next 2 months got gdmm, plugs 2, hall and Nash 2, possibly reject 3, meth/havoc album coming out

edit: forgot Elzhi album 7 times down 8 times up it should be on the top 5 list as well

Burden of Proof
Alfredo
Descendants of Cain
Price of Tea in China
Reasonable Drought
Pray for Paris
From a King to A God

...are the best 7 albums I've heard this year, order can change daily. Then I've got Nas, Lil Baby, Lulu a couple notches below these. But still dope albums.

Great year for hip hop and if Roc Marci comes through and crushes the buildings :wow:

What I mean is when Benny first “officially” got signed up they was on some he’s (redacted) replacement and that’s it.... Benny flooded shyt and put alllll his shyt out and smoked his features... Con and West had the flow before Benny fully got it... but early on when the solo projects came out Con was going the “cop the physicals and I’ll release it to DSP’s later” route... and folks used to be scrambling for his shyt... Benny was releasing his projects out right... and people kinda checked in more... so then we got the “who’s better?” shyt a LOT more... I remember Conway being on IGLive arguing with fans about shyt... then the delay of “GOAT” etc... look how the industry showing Benny love right now. They KNOW what Con does too... but there’s a different support when Benny drops.
I feel like Benny is more personable than Conway and far less stand off-ish. Rap wise he also fits into specific lanes (punch line rapper, hustler rap, luxury rap) with some potential semi mainstream appeal whereas Conway is more so grimy street shyt. You can see why Hov seems to love Benny for instance.

I like Conway’s recent album quite a bit btw. Feels like he is finding a balance between the grime and some personal stuff as @TheDarceKnight said.
