The emery around Benny’s releases be SOOOO crazy.... I think Conway created a disconnect early on with how he did his releases. And West shyt has a different energy too... I said it a couple years ago... I knew that shyt would kinda fukk Con up a bit.
They both took too long to put official debuts out, and probably have put out too much material in the meantime.

Totally disagree. There was wild anticipation for Benny’s joint. And folks receiving it well. And already saying potential AOTY. Totally disagree with what you said.

VERY very good album! shyt slaps especially the second half after the Wayne/Sean joint.

Hit Boy gotta be the Producer of the year. This nikka put out AOTY with Nas, made an incredibly dope album with Benny and actually got me to listen to an entire Big Sean project which I haven’t done since the OG Detroit mixtape.

I’m talking about WSG and Conway, Benny was able to build anticipation for this latest album while not putting out too much material. We’ve been waiting on the Shady joints from those two for like 2 years and they’ve put out a lot of material in the meantime.

people received Conway’s album well too, but the problem is that it followed a lot of projects that weren’t as good, and just a lot of projects in general.

I’ll probably get hate for this, but Benny needs to go back to rapping on the beat. :ld:

I know he’s trying to switch up his style, but a lot of the flows on these songs don’t really mix with the beats well. He’s obviously a lyrical rapper, so that style has something to do with it.

I just wish he would rap on the beat like he used to. :hubie:

You listening to a different Benny or something breh ?

There are definitely tracks where Benny’s flow sounds extremely un-smooth, like someone poorly attempting to park a car. That’s my only complaint about the album. I can imagine someone with an acrobatic flow like Hov/Gibbs/Pusha/etc effortlessly killing some of the tracks Benny struggles with. He def needs to switch his flow and delivery up.

outside of that this is really good
