Shakur did 5,000 fans against Edwin De Los Santos and I was ONE of those fans.
Tank did nearly 14K with Frank Martin at the MGM and nukkas are in this thread talking about Tank is ducking Shakur, no that nikka just don't bring shyt to the table to actually make money which is what all this shyt is about.
Do I want to see the best fights and the best fighting the best, yes but it ain't gonna happen if everyone doesn't do their part to make these fights worth it.
Keyshawn is gonna get that Tank fight before Shakur because Shakur may never truly break through to stardom.
Also while everyone is talking about Tank ducking, William Zepeda is literally Shakur's mandatory for the WBC and doesn't want to fight him lol

I literally spent years of my life training the youts at my local gym so real blood, sweat in boxing but because I rather watch a ppv in the comforts of my home instead of traveling to vegas (which I hate) I cain have an opinion boxing

The long and short of it now.
The "business of boxing" allowed fighters to be protected and these excuses to make sense in the past.
But it's no longer a valid argument when there is literally a national slush fund available to make fights across promotional outfits and compensate everyone the way they want to be compensated. How many guys on yesterdays card were dangerous fighters who "bring nothing to the table"? I can think of three who probably never get that opportunity yesterday under the old boxing set up. It's a new era and that convenient excuse is outdated as fukk and just blatant ducking at the moment
Even quoting Leonard Ellberee in 2025 is crazy work, dude is one of the architects (or at least the face piece since I question how much he actually does) of the downfall of boxing and is increasingly irrelevant. Even Floyd had to

Yesterdays card lived up to the hype and was well worth the money.
The fights flowed pretty fast and the quality was good enough to keep my attention for the 5+ hours or whatever it was.
There will be no boogeymen and hype jobs in the Turki era. You will either prove yourself or be "exposed". And with the matchmaking and frequency of quality bouts I still look forward to seeing guys after they lose. So as a fan it's win win

Now that Shakur chose to sign with Matchroom instead of a 1 fight deal vs Tank for god knows what the amount is cause you know PBC dont wanna pay black fighters guarantees... only Canelo.. When Turki decides to reach out to Tank again (since he already turned down $20m for Haney) and make him another lucritive offer to fight Shakur.. WHEN Tank ducks again, will you give him a pass?

he would have signed with PBC, got froze out even more and then the Tankettes would have come up with some fantastical reasoning for it that makes sense to only them. end of the day Canelo talked maddddd shyt and even he realized Turkey bag is colder, so if he is on board realistically no one really has any excuses any more. Cant use draw, cant use purse, cant use "ducking". Hell can't even use its in Saudi any more as they having cards here now.
