Bivols performances since have put that performance from Canelo in perspective.
Canelo held his own. Did his thing. But he had zero chance.

I thought that Bivol showed him up a fair bit. Maybe my memory isn’t as good as it should be, but I seem to remember the petulant Canelo being on display when he realised he couldn’t just walk Bivol down as he might have done with pretty much everyone bar GGG at super-mid.

As you say, he really had almost no chance of taking Bivol out.

I should watch the fight again sometime soon.

Disappointed by the result of the 2 main fights but it was a great card with only a few lulls

Beterbiev should have never let Bivol back in the fight once he got him hurt and immobilized and the Joe Parker renaissance is something that I keep wishing would stop happening but it continues to happen :mjlol:

Happy for Kabayel though, interested to see where he goes next, just relentless and punches with great form for a HW.

I was def buying into the Sheeraz hype and figures Adames isn’t too hard to hit so he will fall too but he made Sheeraz gunshy and confused him by constant upper body movement. The tower of destruction energy of Sheeraz disappeared quick. I didn’t think he draw was as scandalous as many but Adames should have won it. Great for Adames, he proved he’s better than a lot of ppl thought. The panic during the fight from Warren and Turki was visible, I think they were very sure in Sheeraz getting another KO win without much trouble.

Stevenson did what he had to, the condition of his hands at only this age is concerning, it could lead to him specializing even more to be a great defensive fighter.

Ortiz did well, I scored it a draw. Ortiz won some of his rounds more convincing than Madrimov his. Overall no problem with Ortiz winning, wouldn’t mind a rematch or Ortiz vs Bohachuk 2.

Rather wanted Buatsi to win in the first fight but wasn’t stressing over it, great scrap, deserved winner, I’d like Smithvs Yarde next to see who’s the best UK 175er. Imo Smith doesn’t have a lot to offer to Benavidez who’s atp is between the Beterbiev/Bivol duo and the rest of the contenders in level.

What are Bivol's glaring weaknesses? Buddy has fast hands, great defense, good power, great reflexes, quick feet, fundamentally-sound... what is he missing:heh:?

Edit: And he has a great chin:heh:.

He is a good boxer but he is not great, if he knew how to double and triple on the jab, turn his man, and go to the sides of his body he would distance himself from Artur. He has the physical skills but not master technique. Technique wise he is down the list when compared to other p4p bests today. All the things you mentioned were physical skills which he isn’t missing any of those things.

Artur is almost same way. Has all the physicals but he is basically a stalker who although a good boxer he can’t really cut the ring off against elite movement and his bodywork is lacking in that area as well.

Fight was like a dumbed down Chavez vs Whitaker. Stylistically slightly looked like Mayweather vs Corrales. As I said though, there were clear differences in those fights and all of those guys were more skilled. The things that Bivol and Beterbiev bring to the ring and the things they are lacking make for the most even of matchup. I give Bivol the very slight edge but he’ll if they were the same age a would give Artur the edge. Whether they were both 34 or 40.

If even Canelo is willing to work with the Saudis, its becoming rather obvious the only reason that fight isnt happening is and has always been Tank. He has came out with a litany of excuses.

Bu bu bu he should have signed with PBC :damn:

fukk out of here. Sign with them nikkas and then be stuck in boxing purgatory waiting for Tank to stop bringing up feathers

And to top it off hes an actual piece of shyt human :mjlol: bro hit and runs pregnant women and nikkas just be spinning on it

If you noticed I have chilled so hard on even mentioning dude. He not fukkin wit Turki because he won’t be able to cherry pick. Turki is going to want to see him against a threat and he will pay decent amount to make it happen. Those wins look better than what they were. Especially Ryan. I’ll bet you if Devin makes the necessary adjustments he will beat Ryan in the rematch.

I still won't give up on Hamzah Sherrazz aka Arabic Tommy Hearns

Reports say that his hand was broken after the 3rd round. If so, that makes alot of sense. Every single time he landed on Adames, he pushed him back. I guess there was a reason he never followed up on his shots. Sucks he laid and egg on the biggest stage

But honestly, he needs about 3-4 non-title fights to get more experience before he's ready to fight for a World title again. He's still young, no rush

Only Hearns-like in stature because if he had any of Tommy’s energy he would have stopped Adames. He is very passive, maybe it was the hand, but I think this is the way he fights. Fight was not even close to a draw imo
