One of the worst years in hip hop history :scust:
Not a single album even remotely approaching classic status for me. :mjcry:
I guess I'll vote Wayne. :mjcry:
The only album from this year that I've listened to post 2009 was Nas'.

The Renaissance is my least favorite Q-Tip album as well, never could get into that one

808s was my favorite album of the year but can't really count Kanye as the best rapper based off that

And why does TI gotta make those long ass albums, he'd be a lot higher on my list if they weren't

Not a stan.

But I can recall a lot of Nas' songs from 2008 - I can pinpoint that time. The Untitled album as well as the mixtape with DJ Green Lantern before it. Was good.

The issue with someone like Wayne is I can't pinpoint which song Wayne released in what year. He released some good material as well, but he doesn't get my vote for Carter III album, he would get my vote for the leaks, but again, I can't ever recall when some of the Wayne songs were released, which is the issue with quantity over quality.

*Also hilarious y'all going back and forth with a guy who was 8 years old then. I'm 26, but I'm not gonna sit here discussing topics with 15 year olds. That shyt is awkward.

Yet another pathetic attempt from InspectHisdikk of the anti-Hov homosexual Ecoli brigade of cockbuffing bytchmade stans to rewrite history to make anyone but the GOAT our Flow Lord and Lyrical Savior Hova Da Gawd out to be the GOAT when he's been the MVP every year since his first adlib was spit in his GOATly delivery

Ffs his worst verse off Ghetto Techno not only shyts on every verse, song & album from every sorry ass, wannabe MC ass, non-Hova rapper that dropped in 2008 but every god awful musical attempt from every other bum ass struggle rapper in history combined

I don't agree with Nas on that, but the thread asked about mvp mc of 2008 and I answered that. We talking about an mcs' talent, not his personal opinion on some racial issues

Some of y'all loves to troll and play all day. Grow the fukk up
I don't think he meant that literally.

if yall say Nas man just gotta be some old heads who were out of touch

Wayne was EVERYWHERE
he was mainstream and underground at the same time

everyone was listening to him
Jocks, Nerds, THOTs, Dealers, Athletes, Political Figures, EVERYBODY

Tha Carter III was mad popular, had real good acclaim, had hit singles (A Milli, Got Money, Lollipop) c'mon now
that shyt's a classic with sooo many great songs
It's probably 4 mics at best.
It was massive though.
