I'll just say this. the 80s and 90s was good cause it was before 9/11 and we didn't have to worry about terrorism and amber alerts and TSA and Department of Homeland Security and the economy of the country was ten times better than it was now and we still had a World Trade Center. We had freedom and the internet wasn't as developed as it was now so people actually interacted with each other in real life and went outside.

90s babies and late 80s babies take this for granted cause they weren't old enough to experience it.

Us late 80s babies may not be old enough to remember the 80s but we're def old enough to remember the 90s.

The 80s was way better than the 90s, the latter years of the 90s sucked.

The 80s was piff from the beginning and the same good energy extended a little bit into the 90s too.

The 90s started the useless Jerry Springer/Maury/Reality nonsense situations that we are now seeing all over the world today especially america. in almost all facets of society.

In the 80s, there was still a little of class and dignity in human behavior.

You kind of have to split it up because the late 90's were kind of wack. they start changing in 96. I don't even consider late 97-99 the 90's.

90-93 had a very unique feel. And late 93-early 96 had it's own feel. but 94 and 95 was better than everything.

For the 80's there's a big difference pre and post 85.
Yeah...the late 90s were kind of wack...

When Britney Spears, N'Sync, and The Backstreet Boys started getting popular around 1998/1999...that was it.

TBH, the end of the 90s to me really was signified by Woodstock 99.

Peace, Love, Consumerism and Inflated Ticket Prices.

It was extremely wack not kinda, extremely garbage...

Hip hop started that fake over the top materialistic nonsense immediately after biggie died, it took off.

And that was all thanks to Diddy...he capitalized off of Biggie's death like no one else.

Yep, then jermaine dupri, damon dash, master p etc, all the so called moguls wanted to be big stars too SMH...

This lead to the downfall of the mainstream hip hop hugely influenced by that useless conniving b*stard called diddy.

The problem with the late 1990's was that the globalization finally developed and people started to focus on making money more. If 9/11 didn't happen we would be complaining about how the internet has destroyed human interaction. We didn't have that problem in the 1980's or 1990-1996

This current society don't even understand how to live without "hating" or whatever they call it today.

I remember growing up in the 80s, it was very hard to hate on shyt except it was very blatant/extreme and back then, it was very constructive and usually had a much more positive outcome.

It was so easy to enjoy entertainment in the 80s, we didn't even care too much about flaws/mistakes.

Now, everybody just does shyt for money, there isn't any genuineness in anything today except maybe "tech".

Everything is heavily critiqued today and not enjoyable or memorable.

The 80s had a kind of "magic atmosphere" that the late 90s, the 2000s and the current decade doesn't have despite all the tech we have today.

The 80s also had a sort of sophistication and class in our attitude and behavior, freedom of expression was also in abundance and wasn't forced.

I even enjoy a lot of the "B" movies from the 80s more than the so called top movies of today, it's really weird.
