i see when we got to talembout skills.

nikkaz deflected like the sellouts and bytch nikkaz they are.

i also don't believe in polls.

after we all live in poverty from a stolen election.

so fukk a poll,..no wonder y'all gen can't rap well, either.
y'All don't know hiphop, the pillars or the skill bases in them.

rakim created the blueprint, nas used that blueprint to bring humanity to black inner city life. its a tie.

nas sold out the culture as the biggest and most skilled emcee turned culture thief of all time.

he is one of the direct reasons why the culture is on death's door.

hiding his hands talembout wo killed't it,..you can not be serious.

nas helped ruin the black community,.....wit his poisonous cultural change of direction.

i refuse to conform
Imagine me wit the heat that’s made by solar,
It gets stronger everytime I hold a
Microphone, check the tone to get started
The line for the microphone is departed
So leave it up to me, my dj is mixing
Everyone is moving or eager to listen
Your hands in the air, your mouth, shut!
Cuz I’m on the mic and eric b is on the cut
For those that know me, indeed I like to flow
Especially when the music’s going slow
It gives me a chance to let everybody know
It’s time to bust out the rakim show
I’m the intelligent wise on the mic I will rise
Right in front of your eyes cuz I am a surprise
So i’ma let my knowledge be born to a perfection
All praise due to allah and that’s a blessing
Wit knowledge of self, there’s nothing I can’t solve
At 360 degrees, I revolve
This is actual fact, it’s not an act, it’s been proven,
Indeed and I proceed to make the crowd keep moving

Rakim was spitting complex rhyme patterns before nas
he showed nas how to rhyme.

i am probably the biggest original nas fan on earth, actually.

i cut my first day of school my senior year, to get nas's album.

which could have kept me out of even having a car to listen to it in, at the time.

that is how important nas was culturally to the integrity of the rap business.

you dudes are so detached from the culture,..you are not aligned with the pulse of who some of these artist are.

nas is the herald of all the rappers, and producers in a kindred.

who fought to keep rap true and from becoming vanilla ice and hammer time.

for nas to defy that,...is why we are where we are now.

if you do not know that nas is pretty much the savior turned anti christ of hiphop...i dunno what to tell you.

nas is pretty much the golden child of rap,....

if you were cognitive when bbq and back to the grill again came out.

you would know what nas means culturally and to the record business.

To be honest I disovered nas on the late, like I knew him since if I ruled the world and nas is like, but the first album i heard from him was stillmatic. But since then, I was so passionate with the mc that I studied everything about his albums, how they were recieved and all of that. I know that people hated iww and hate me now, and thought he reached rock bottom with nastradamus.

But like you say he's maybe the antechrist of this shyt. Personnaly I don't believe so. But let's admit I go with that. To me it would be kind of the fall of lucifer story, beautiful angel or golden child as you say who fall out the sky to become the devil. In the way I find this as beautiful as well in a tragic kind of way cause that's a part of history, cause you can't take that part of the holy book. Like Romeo and Juliet or the real little mermaid story, the story ends in a bad way but it still beautiful anyway
That reminds me of a line nas said on "blunt ashes"

"And I wouldn't change a thing, mistakes of the greats
This is what came from their pain
From their hurt we gain, an unfair exchange"

Nas is that kind of genius that lost his way personaly and musically at some point, but to me that helped reinforced his music and made it stronger. Tracks like black zombie, rise and fall or drunk by myself wouldn't have seen the light of the day if Nas was still the perfect herald of his genra. And i'm still conviced that he would have disappeared if he had tried to follow the lane of illmatic with his second album, he would have been az or ac status by now. To make a perfect example, I will take masta ace, the guy dropped quality music so far, never a flaw in his discography but yet none of his album have the grandeur, ambition, depht and mystique that nas' album have, they're good, but kinda flat. Each nas album tells us a story about how the man his an giant with an achilles' heel. That's why Nas albums are ones of the most scrutinezed albums by the fans, you always find a way to improve his albums with the unrealeased joints because it's like he's dropping raw diamonds to play with and we need to polish it

If Mike Tyson would have beated Lennox after his incredible speech, if Federer would have won each of his finals against Nadal at the french open, if Borg would have compete in the australian open and didn't stop his carrer at 26, if McEnroe would have won the french open in 84, if Will Smith had taken the Neo role in Matrix... and on and on

greats are greats because they make mistakes

Rakim is Windows 95 - Revolutionized the game, held it down for years but now seen as outdated.

Nas is Windows XP - Took the game to a whole new level and still relevant to this day despite flashier acts.

How is Ra outdated?? He has songs that are still ahead these times. People speaking on Ra w/o really listening to his catalog.
