Unfortunately alot of Americans "like their insurance"
Whatever the fukk that means
The reality is one of the reasons Biden is winning is because alot of Americans are brainwashed into thinking free healthcare is socialism and somehow bad

Yup because people are spreading false information about it. shyt Biden probably doesn’t know the details.

Speaking of who would be good at handling big healthcare issues...

Looking at how Don Cheeto is botching the handling of this pandemic...

Y'all really wanna hand this dude more time in the big chair?

You HAVE to realize that Trump is dangerously stupid
Anyone okay with Trump getting another term is a cac or a c00n :coffee:

Stop talking out your ass. This has already be shown to not be true.

Is he not proposing a 4% payroll tax on all income earners making more than $29,000? In a 2 income household, where both people work, doesn’t usually just 1 person pay for heath insurance that covers the whole family? Under the Sanders plan are we not looking at a 4% increase on payroll taxes for both income earners? Is that not a cumulative tax increase of 8% in payroll taxes on those households?

please show me where my math is wrong?

:smugbiden:Rightfully so. It’s not a good policy proposal.

if the democrats introduce the bill and somehow get republicans to sign off on it, with the overwhelming support of the congress, him even suggesting to veto it is a poison pill for the youth vote in the united states period. Might as well give Trump the win because trump will promise medicare for all just to get the voters and scrap it after he wins. The audacity to say that shyt out loud that you would veto it is about as undemocratic as it gets.

This article is misleading as fukk. There's basically 2 versions of "Medicare for All". We can call them the Sanders version and the Warren version. Biden doesn't support the Sanders version, which raises tax on everyone and eliminates private insurance. He supports a public option that is closer to the Warren version.

Medicare for all is great until you have to explain how you pay for it. Alot of middle class people don't want to see a significant amount more of money coming from their paycheck.

we pay 40 trillion on health care right now. Bernie's plan is 5 million less.

It is a TALKING POINT. It doesn't cost anything and even saves money. "Where are we going to find 35 trillion dollars?" "bytch you spend 40 trillion right now and everyone isn't even insured.

You're conflating healthcare costs(co-pays paid to insurance companies) with tax costs, which is money taken from an individuals pay check to support these programs. Most people support single payer style healthcare until they hear how it would have to impact their paychecks. Then they basically change their stance to the public option that Warren promotes.

If we cut our military funding by a fraction that would be enough to cover it.

I really don't get this "impact to my paycheck" thing :mindblown:
I'm pretty much the poster child of a middle class person paying too many taxes. I live in a dual 6 figure household with no dependents.
I doubt many ppl on this site write a check as large as I do on April 15th, and this is after the tons of payroll tax my wife and I pay thru the year
yet I STILL support M4A (and free state college) cause I realize a random cancer diagnosis or bad accident that puts me in the ICU for two weeks will completely bankrupt me
Majority americans don't have $1000 for emergency event and if you lose your job you pretty much lose your "insurance you like" now anyway and get some fugazi ass $2000 a month CORBA bullshyt offered to you
Is mofos really that pressed over paying extra $100-200 in payroll taxes a month (ignoring any premiums they save on)
I don't get the short term thinking of bytching over a single digit tax increase in exchange for two of the most expensive things in our society being completely free

A candidate like Bernie doesn't come around often at all and this country managed to blow it twice :snoop:

you mean the Bernie, who had the dnc stolen from him, and didn’t do anything or say anything except turn around and endorse Hillary Clinton in 2016?

You mean the same Bernie Sanders that is about to have the nomination stolen from him again, and will do nothing again?
