Good question. In my mind this is a comparison of ready To Die & Life After Death versus Chronic and Chronic 2001. I'd say Biggie, if only because I sort of consider the Chronic albums compilation albums.
Dre was the better artist tho. Big was the better mc.
ITS A TIE:
- the chronic is arguable the goat album, while "ready to die" would be lucky to cracky my top 30.
- both have overrated ass sophomore albums that have classic hype rather than classic music. but at least biggie's joint had influence, legit impact & more classic songs. dre 2001 was wasnt poppin in the streets like that.
the chronic >>> ready to die
dr dre 2001 <<< life after death

at these threads
I don't disagree with any of this.
EDIT - Just saw the edit.
AMG - bytch Betta Have My Money. Not just the song - the album.
Or any of his spots on Quik albums. Topically, it's the same thing - hoes.
But him rappin' is better than Diamond D on the mic.
hold up. so AMG isnt a producer/rapper?
cuz before this thread, i thought he was just one of quik's rappers like 2nd II none.

Naw...they were not. Not at the time they were coming out.
Dude you quoted is right - The Chronic was monstrous when it came out.
The only other rap albums that were close as far as reception were Doggystyle
and Life After Death.
btw, AMG is better than Diamond D.
my posts are over your head.
stay in line.
