I agree with you that OJ did not do it.

What I do not have experience with is this conflict between Black women and men.

Black men are a positive presence in my life.

None of the women that I'm friends with or associate with have any problems with Black men.

Black men are very loving and loyal, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I'm sorry that you have been exposed Black women who are not of the same mindset

His statements are whatever...he had plenty of valid points and some things that were just kinda off or unessecary...but the most interesting thing to me is the reaction.

nikkas called Bill all kinds of c00ns, toms and sellouts for saying some real shyt...majority of people, myself included dismissed the larger message and remarked on his tone and the setting and basically turned a blind eye and deaf ear to him. Seems like nobody (black) wanted to offer him any support until he became a rapist :heh:

Speak the harsh realities: :pacspit: Uncle Tom!
Rape a bakers dozen of women: :mjcry: Leave him alone, he's old, he's a national treasure, it's a conspiracy!

people openly clown our would-be engineers, politicians, and doctors; destroying their potential before it forms
I used to post on a site that shall remain nameless, and somebody posted a link to an article about a young kid that was prodigy and came up with some shyt on string theory that had respected scientists like :ohhh:. Wouldn't you know, the brothas on that site tore little dude to shreds. Calling him all kinds of c00ns and sellouts and shyt :scust::pacspit:

More c00nin Cosby :troll:

:ohhh: I remember my US history teacher in high school showing this to us. I've been looking for this for years. I :snoop: when I think about all the game the black teachers and administrators were trying to lace us with back then. We were to busy being knuckleheads and shyt. The KCP, LAMP, Focus HOPE and other programs were set up to help minorities here get into college and various jobs, but we just looked at the shyt as just field trips to clown have fun and miss school. Now that shyt is gone, and the young brehs don't have shyt now.:mjcry:

Everywhere...You never there.
A lot of you so called militants really are exposing yourselves.

Praise a public articulation of uber inflammatory, condescending, over simplified, platitude-laden, borderline hate speech toward the most marginalized, vulnerable and exposed population that ignores society's structural deficiencies, lacks a plan of action and an implementation strategy , brethren.

And he then tries to justify the government sponsored murder of young black males over some fukkin poundcake. ...

And then consign homie advocating a forcible removal of black Muslims from their own communities on some neo Trail of Tears initiative ..

:mindblown:

Y'all thinking it's the Jews that's knocking him off... it might be NOI

:heh:

Who the fukk are you people? Looking like a Klan rally in here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again for the RECORD

There was not an OUNCE of c00ning in that speech

Cosby was attempting to appeal to blacks through exposing the ridculousness of the situations that a segment (not everyone mind you) ALLOW ourselves to wallow in.

He basically gave you the real life version of Aaron Mcgruder's Dr King Speech from the Boondocks.

He wasn't speaking to white people to get props for "respectability politics" he was speaking DIRECTLY to US as black people to first and foremost RESPECT OURSELVES enough to NOT shun education, enlightment, and knowledge of self.
Fam you already know what it is.:upsetfavre: nikkas don't even want their PARENTS tellin em what to do. Cosby coulda said it any kinda way and cats still woulda got pissed. If you do the same shyt then you have no room to speak. If you don't do the same shyt then you're on a high horse.:hula: it is what it is.

Dude was telling the truth, black people have issues.

We liked to be spoke to like children, because we undermine ourselves after being treated like animals for so long.

We don't reality, we what want sounds good, sympathy, and for someone to hold our hands.

And that's why we embrace these slave films so much, we want the pity for how hard we've got it and how hard we have it.

Instead of something telling us to soak it up and push throw that glass top, because we can if only we could see it, but we can't because we act, think, and live like kids.

And Christianity is a part of the problem because it supports being addressed as a kid.

Liberal America has trained black people well. ... .notice they're the ones funding all these slave films.

I'm not sure I understand how I'm a narrative changer and I appreciate your response.

I believe this case is causing cognitive dissonance. It creates a conflict for a lot of people.

I believe that the judge who allowed this was wrong. His sealed deposition should have never been released.

I believe that there is a deliberate campaign against him.

I agree with him in that people should make better moral choices however his speech and others like it are far too simplistic.

I prefer the approach of someone like Marva Collins, The great Chicago educator who started a private school for low income children who are labeled as learning disabled. Because she was in the environment with those children she could teach them in love how to make better choices.

I have done community service and also come from the hood myself. When I'm working with people who have adverse situations I do not make them feel bad or belittle them.

I am not a special snowflake, there is nothing amazing or different about me. There's nothing about me that makes me better than anyone else. Despite the abundant amount of shyt I may talk on the Coli, I one hundred percent believe and offering people solutions and support and encouragement.

No one should be ashamed of the past mistakes if they've me or how many children they have or how many different fathers their children have. When you make a person feel ashamed, that can push them to make even more mistakes.

The ghettos are full of hard-working honest people who just don't have any money. So many Black women are ashamed of their reproductive choices that more Black babies are aborted than born.

I fully support anyone who's willing to go into the underserved communities provide things like free breakfast, afterschool programs and citizen police monitoring and tutoring.

I am against the campaign of destruction against Bill Cosby, as well as any other Black person.

I'm just going to bury my head in the sand and pretend that me being bitter and hateful and judgmental will solve anything.

If I'm working with young people from low income backgrounds, I'm not going to shame them for their circumstances. They already feel ashamed. I'm going to continue to be respectful and encouraging.

I'm actually very resourceful. And I have personally helped a lot of people achieve their goals.

Talk is cheap.

We have to be the person going into the underserved communities and reaching out to the people.

It's me that has to do this.

Instead of ragging a young man or shaming him for sagging, I'll politely explain the MEANING to him and give him a choice for himself.

I'm not smarter than anyone here. I only believe in treating people with respect and helping them find solutions.

Bill Cosby has done a lot of good work and he has been nothing but kind and professional to me.

And even though this is a witchhunt, he open the door and made it easier for them by the choices he made.

I am not gloating in any of this.

I just wanted to make it clear that for people who feel so strongly about his speech either way that those of us who are able need to make efforts towards reaching out to people whose lives are filled with poverty and destruction.

If your intent is honest and true you can make a difference in even just one person's life. You can be the voice of reason to person that may not have parents Who are able to reach them.
This is an all around great post. My only quarrel is that Bill comes from the school of tough love and that doesn't work anymore as many kids and generation Y adults are from the school of hard knocks. What we need is resources and a foundation, nothing else said will work with our generation. We all have kaviar taste with McDonald's budget. We have fully brought into today's white supremacy and we are paying a steep price for it. So telling us to pull ourselves by the bootstrap is not easy when opportunities and few and the world is competing for the same resources with a massive advantage.

This is where Cosby is lost. We want gold and know we deserve it but all there is, is coal and we know why but yet don't know why as a collective group and it's leading to our demise.

Note: While many might not believe your academic claims, I do and I do believe your want greatness in society. So don't get offended when I call you out. It's good natured and I know you have a good heart but sometimes situations take us out of our element. Like Cathy Hughes stated, being a business professional is hard as a woman. You have to be aggressive like a man and talk their language but be classy like a woman and sometimes you may say the wrong thing because you aren't speaking your natural language. As Blacks, we all go through that but times 2 for sistas. I understand even if brothas don't.
