Cosby said a poor black kid who steals a piece of poundcake deserves to be shot and killed by the police. You coli "militants" know damn well if a black kid really got shot by the cops for stealing a piece of poundcake and a poster here said he deserved it, there would be a chorus of people calling him a c00n a thousand times and calling him a cac a thousand more times, telling him to go back to st0rmfr0nt and tagging cook asking to ban him.
But when Cosby says it it's "holding people accountable" and "tough love."
Yall are full of shyt.
fukk Bill Cosby and his stupid ass respectability politics speeches. It's not "tough love" or "real talk." It's half ass empty-headed faux sociological analysis.
It's one thing for a father, mentor or some other role model to try and teach youth responsibility and stay on the right track. That's not what Cosby was doing when he decided to finally start speaking on race after ignoring it his whole fukking career which spanned the civil rights era. Cosby was explaining racial achievement and socioeconomic status gaps by blaming black people for being pathological and deficient. He was making a broad encompassing sociological critique--a shytty one born of ignorance--but one nonetheless in which he clearly established causation by putting the blame squarely on black people. He was denying the role that structural racism plays in societal outcomes and blaming the victim...just like Rush Limbaugh, just like Bill O'Reilly, just like David Duke.
And he was quite mean-spirited in the process saying shyt black people need a DNA card to keep from having sex with their grandmother, they're all on crack, and they're naming each other "Muhammad and Laquisha and all that crap."
And the outcome of this late career heel turn was him becoming a hero to racist ass right-wingers who make a career blaming black people for everything wrong in society through coded language. He became Fox News' new favorite nikka...because he says and thinks the same shyt they do. In the 08 Repub primary, a black viewer asked the candidates what to do about crime in his community. You know what Mitt Romney said?: "God bless Bill Cosby for telling the truth." He didn't even propose any solutions beyond that. THAT is the legacy of his politics.
Yall TLR e-revolutionaries stay on some dumb shyt. You don't know whether you want to be Booker T. Washington or Marcus Garvey.
