This is not that outlandish and I love how so many people are hitching their arguments to AI's 01 Finals run which was right up their as the most overrated run of all time with LeBron in 2007. Kobe 2008 Finals run was more impressive than both

Love the fact that the same people criticizing Nash over who he played with are also not addressing the weak East AI went through once and never got out again.
And I hate when people fall back on that “don’t call me a cac because all I care about is FG% and that gives me leeway to downplay real ballers” nonsense. Hella pages and still no evidence of Nash being elite in anything other than MDAs system. No evidence of Nash being elite even close to as long as AI. No competent explanation of how it makes sense to draft someone who takes 6-7 years to get going over someone who balled out as a rookie and balled out on several teams/coaches.

It’s not just about 01, AIs whole career is just better even before 01 he was a superstar for 4 seasons. 01 was just his most memorable moment but AI came into the league as that nikka. And you can’t just discount 01 cuz at the end of the day he did his thing in that run and had an all time great moment in G1 Finals. Nash couldn’t do that it’s simple as that.

He was in a weak East but he also had a weak cast. The Bucks had a better squad and he got passed em in 6 games. You can say the conference was weak but Nash would not have made it to the Finals in 01 like AI did.
Plus if AI was on the Suns in that era he possibly makes the Finals at least once and maybe even wins. In 07 maybe they take care of the Spurs and get passed the Jazz and Cavs. Remember a lot of people thought the Suns were better that year but they got screwed over when Amare got suspended. A lot of people thought the Suns got robbed that year because of that. In the game Amare didn’t play Steve was 6-19 for 19 pts and they only scored 85 pts and lost by 3. I’m sure if AI is there instead of Nash he manages to score A LOT more pts even if it’s on bad shooting. And in MDAs offense he would’ve been getting hella dimes.
