I know the area well. If jews decide not to sell or sell only within their communities and blacks do the opposite what can be done?

Hey clown sauce remember back in the early 90s when the city was giving grants to folk who was willing to purchase brand new homes in tough areas? Homes was going for $125k at the time… guess what a lot of black folk who worked for the city jumped on those homes.. they had the foresight and now their homes worth damn near 1m… these are black folk I’m talking about, other black folk was like nah I ain’t buying no house in no shyt neighborhood.. now those same black folk crying they getting priced out due to high rent… folk literally scoffed at t he thought of buying a home in the city now everyone want to move back but can’t

Same thing is going on now. You can still find deals in east new york, ocean hill, east flatbush etc but black folk who can afford to are scoffing at those areas but will complain when others start moving in.

They want NYC to just become a big resort for the uber rich and the somewhat rich. A theme park.

Everyone with "real" money will be White, and the technicians (STEM, Law, Finance) are Asian, and the little people (cleaning, cooking) are Latin (usually from Mexico/Central American, because Boricuas and Dominicans are too close to you know what).

Black celebs will have a presence of course. Entertainers and Politicians.

As for the rest?

• A sprinkling of ethnics that make food at their restaurants.
• Filipino Nurses
• Indian Doctors
• Black Male Security Guards
• Black Female HR people and Lawyers

The maintenance guy will be outsourced to some Latino company. And I would not be surprised if city Jobs start going towards Latinos as well.

None of this will be due to some grand design. There's no white boy with a spoon of mayonnaise cackling like a villain.
It's just gonna be millions of individual choices for merit and culture fit.

Owning has nothing to do with it. Black homeowners in NYC were forced to sell their homes due to the ridiculous hike in property taxes and being badgered by the city government to sell. I remember deBlasio catching heat for this. Pricing out/gentrifying in the USA has always primarily been whether you own or don't own.

I know this thread has been shared already and it’s the same for a lot of Northern cities but it can’t be overstated. Another thing that people don’t talk about it the lack of education like that article mentions.

I didn’t learn shyt from like 8-12th grade and it’s hard to get into those exclusive HS. Then I have people like one of my best friends who went to a Stuyvesant and she experienced racism every day ( it was like 30 black people at that time) now they admitted like 8).

So rent already high af then you gotta pay for private education because your kid can’t get into the good schools and if they do, they living like everybody hates Chris

lol, those houses still get sold, but they are not gonna tear them down to build apartments. Hell, sometimes they get a house and build a bigger one family house on the same land.

where I qualify so they’ll put 20 percent down on the property (maximum $100,000) and if the down payment is less than $40K they’ll forgive the loan if I stay in the house for 10 years (15 years if it’s more than $40K).
