Not at all, Fukkin weirdo . You need to comeback better than that, irrelevant insult commentary of your bytch ass projecting stereotypes that describe your mother. Do the research, I rarely post on this dude bc some of you new or corny rebooted accounts emulate low vibrational cactalk that fuk up this part of the forum.

Keep talking and I’ll show what type of timing I’m on . Sick of seeing your goofy fukkin posts; I’m out of patience. Didnt forget that you’re the Dumb fuk who created a thread about wanting to be white- that’s the city you represent .

It’s unfortunate but not surprising. The city has become way too expensive for most of the residents so it’s definitely worse for us.

It’s a shame as well because NYC college education system can really change lives and it’s free for everyone. Having access to a business school like Baruch, a engineering school like City College or a general great college like Hunter for free is amazing. I really hate to see the community move out and miss these great opportunities.

My family has a house, I’m inheriting that house. If I leave or stay it’s in our name and we would just sublet it. Does that mean because I have a house I want to be surrounded with cac and have people complain about the music being loud ? What’s the point of being black in nyc if the culture that produced hip hop and all this black talent isn’t here. The next Spike Lee can’t create a Do the Right Thing or a Crooklyn because his neighborhood looks different
Breh I live up the street from Spike Pops crib

These CACs called the cops on him because he was playing his music too loud. We ain't NEVER complained about Spike Pops doing that shyt EVER. That man is a musician and was always friendly to everyone.

I threw a BBQ at my crib for 4th of July and I'm setting up in my backyard and this old CAC lady I never met before in my life, at 10:30 AM in the morning on 4th of July telling me from across the way "Can you turn it down? It's 10:30"

Mind you I wasn't even blasting the music, it just so happens that the neighborhood empties on holidays and holiday weekends so it was quiet.

I politely told her no, that I'm well within my right to play music at a reasonable volume on a weekend, on a holiday, at 10 AM and that I was having people over and that she was welcome to call the police but that they won't care until about it until 9 PM anyways so don't waste your time.

I went back to bumping Super Slimy and continued cleaning my grill

How old are you? CUNY schools haven't been free since the 1970s.

It's gross

This is why I keep telling Black men, be very very careful where you stand on this NIMBY/YIMBY shyt that has become all the rage over the past few years, especially with regards to home ownership and property ownership and especially since COVID.

If you are for the uplifting of Black people and Black people obtaining and sustaining wealth, be very very careful where you place yourself in that conversation.

The City Councilmembers that you THINK are your friends are NOT. They are in the back pockets of mega development realty companies whose sole purpose is to extract the most profit from any given piece of land they can lay their eyes on and they don't care how you feel about it.

They will legit stack Community Boards with people friendly to whatever it is they want and then say it was on behalf of said community.

The Borough Presidents and Mayor are complicit in this shyt too.
Bloomberg magnified that hustle, Deblasio lined his pockets and now Adams bout to line his pockets

If black nyc Folks want a traditional lifestyle and aren't making major bread, it's probably in their best interest to leave for the sake of their kids education. Something that is prevalent in NYC are cats who end up making "good" money with government jobs and can afford to leave the hood, but often don't make enough to move somewhere where they can give their kids access to good schools.

NYC is great if you are young and single or in a DINK relationship with no desire to have kids.

A lot of folk here love to stay and struggle while not doing shyt to step their game up.

If I wasn’t getting bread here I’d be elsewhere easily. And that’s the plan when this is all said and done. Gon miss the diverse assortment of pvssy, social scene and fukkery but at some point you gotta know when to say when.

I do too (work for the city) and what I've seen in that bill is that they want regular everyday citizens to be able to do this and not just deputized city workers or officers.

I hope you're right breh... otherwise these cats are out of their minds...
City is heavy unionized… Police Union not gonna stand for that shyt because that’s union work.. Plus cops use the tool of ticket issuance to get court OT lmaoo smh

The city giving reg citizens the ability issue tickets will back fire it spectacular fashion because now they would have to testify in court against a defendants lawyer and if they don’t have the correct testimony all them shyts getting dismissed lmaoo

New York State passed the excelsior scholarship years ago. It guarantees free tuition plus transportation assistance to any New York resident who goes to a CUNY or SUNY university.

Same thing with its micro credentials program at CUNY. You can enter CUNY and sign up for multiple free credentials in Project management, Marketing or Tech.

Also the State partnered with coursera to give out free Certs for NY residents.

^^^ This is why it sucks black folks are leaving since we have so many ways to gain upward mobility here.

breh be cautious of upstate. shyt is not sweet. My mind was blown when I was still a cowboy and started hitting towns like beacon/newburgh/albany shyt like that. It was a war zone. I had no idea. Gang infested. There are way less opportunities and less culture. Upstate NY is literally hell on earth. I know thats wild shyt 2 say and I can't even say no disrespect to the upstate brehs who may be on here.... those crakkkers hunting brehs 2... god bless y'all upstate brehs.

Anywhere NORTH of Peekskill NY is a deathtrap for black folks. Best for black folks to be in a place like Elmsford or Greenburgh NY.

These CACs up there are like down south CACs. Deep in law enforcement and all.

It's so weird to read on nyc subreddit how people saying they would never leave NYC because it's so unique and has everything. I grew up in NYC and I think it's an amazing city but if you don't got it like that, then there's no reason to continue living here when you can have a much more comfortable life in different cities. Who cares that you can go to the corner store at 1am or able go to a restaurant with different cuisines. I rather live somewhere where I can have a modern apartment and still have a decent amount to save each month than to live in an apartment that was built in the early 1900's for $2k+ and have nothing to save or share the apartment with a roomate/s as an adult.

Reality is that you need to have your bread on point and ducks in a row to eat here + feel comfy. It’s not like the money isn’t here. These jobs are paying. Now whether they are letting brehs in is another story.

I know ALOT of people here living in buildings that are relics from fukkin WWII and should probably be replaced. Folk stay because they are scared to venture out of the state and the rent is way cheaper than the $2000+ than these newcomers are paying. And $2000 is on the “low” end because these landlords are taxing the fukk out of folks.

People in the so called hood are down bad, with a lot of folks living in cribs that would be better suited for just 2 or 3 people. Imagine the frustration of having 4-5 roommates or relatives in the crib. I’d rather move to Delaware or some shyt LOL
