I don't know. I think it's because theres not many blacks here. how can you hate something you know anything about? I know in guangzhou there is some hatred, because theres just shyt LOADS of africans every where, and the scams that go on, and drug dealing really puts off a lot of chinese people.

My cameroonian homie gets into shyt, but he walks around with a very hard serious face. I on the other hand don't. Haven't gotten into anything, african americans that have been here, doubt will tell you theyve had down right hatred directed at them. you might get weird shyt like some chinese dude saying 'wassup nikka' but he has no idea what he's doing and he's just bouncing back what he heard on tv. you have to see it as an alien coming to earth and doing something like that, the being just doesn't know. the stares, analyzing your skin, again, its just ignorance, not hatred. africans from a village would do the same exact thing the first time they see a white person or asian person, you just have to open your mind and realize that.

I did have one chick say something during a political debate "this is china, you're in china" I said something like, "hoe this is earth and I can travel on this rock anywhere I see fit"

I don't give anyone any reason to be racist toward me personally, even if they dont like 'those foreigners' for nationalistic reasons, I make sure they know you can't paint us under the same brush, I'm me, an indiv just living life like everyone else.

really? I don't get it so bad in SK tbh. I stay near incheon and itiwan (sp?) tho. where expats are common.

yeah there's plenty of US military around there...it's Itaewon btw. I spent time around Busan and south of there in the outlying islands where expats are more rare.

I experienced some outright racism once at a bar in Busan. I was with my two coworkers who are Asian. We walked in and were stopped by the host. He asked what did we want. I told him...Hof (what they call beer) and made the drinking gesture. He looked back at an older man who gave the . The host smiled and said sorry, we're all full. The place was clearly empty. I wanted to knock all the beers and glasses off the bar as we walked out....but I kept my cool.

I've been to a lot of places, but I had one of the best experiences wandering around HK for a few days. The skyline, the food, the culture are definitely worth the trip. Don't be scared of the food...some of the best food I've eaten was there.

I already did with a korean. engaged and everything, that shyt blinded me, took 3 years to snap out of it. filipinas are actually what ive been with the most. I spent 4 months in manila. girls from makati are they got a cool hiphop club there called The Fort/Jack Japier. lot of bay area filipinos visiting would be posted up in there.
