So ridiculous. He didn't have to give them any documents whatsoever, they had no rich to search the car and they all knew it. I get the sense that the policemen were mad he wasn't doing the whole yessa-massa-step-n-fetchit-whatever-you-say-goes-sir and decided to punish him accordingly. Also you know the fact he was test driving a BMW only intensified their sense of threatened white superiority and escalated thesituation... "Rich and uppity black man? Oh he gon learn today" type shyt.

Illegal search was unnecessary, excessive force was unnecessary, a call to the dealership can easily be verified, bet that didn't happen either, but we'll see.

I'm glad he's suing, I hope he wins.

How was that an illegal stop when he was driving without tags?:mindblown:

:upsetfavre: you niqqas is just trolling. The car not having tags is a red herring. Dealership cars that are being test driven dont have tags, so why isnt being pulled over an epidemic for everybody? Because dealerships cars are easy to identify, especially a high end dealership that sells BMW's. Having tags and identifying its a dealership car are mutually exclusive. If the infraction he was pulled over for was just, than why wasnt he arrested for that? Because there was no infraction, other than him being a black man driving a luxury automobile. Just stop it.

That wasn't even his biggest fukk-up, IMO

He should have AT LEAST exited the vehicle

Cops might not have had the right to search the vehicle in that incident but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to step out when they tell you to

"I don't feel comfortable"?

:laff:

There was no reason for him to get out of the car. Plus he steps out and they are more likely to Rodney King his ass. They could have trailed him back to the dealership and then at least if he got out the car, there were witnesses to whatever happened after that.

Cops are fakkits and I hope this guy wins.

When test driving a car, there are dealership documents that are in the car. But dude didn't want to provide them for the officer. I'm not saying that there was registration, I was simply tellin my experience.

He told them that the car was from the dealership and there may not have been anything in the car he could have handed them freely to verify as such. However, this could have all been settled if he escorted the brother back to the dealership, or called the dealership to confirm......

And besides, just because he shows them some type of document that states it was on a dealer's lot, does not mean it wasn't stolen off the lot.

THe only papers that would have allowed him to skate from these irresponsible lawmen would have been proof of purchase papers....

Exactly. The cops could have played it safe and even made him ride in the police car back to the dealership while another cop stayed with the car.

Yo I never understand why nikkas be fukking with the police. Just show the dude the paper and go on about your fukking day. You know the police wanna lock you up, why make it easy.

I don't feel comfortable stepping out......what??

So you'd show the cops something that a) isn't yours and b) you have no idea what it is/says/relays?

Are you serious breh? Dealerships put temporary tags on cars being test driven. The reason why the dude got pulled over was legitimate. What happened afterwards, IMO, was unfortunate. I could see why the driver didn't want to hand the papers in the back seat seeing as how they weren't his and why he was apprehensive. But the same time, I could see why also the cop wanted to control the situation knowing that he pulled over a vehicle he thought suspicious driving without tags.

Listen. The ONLY weapon you have to fight the police are civil rights, don't give those up.

I hate when people say things like this, it's not fukkin with the police it's exerting your rights given to you as a citizen. Don't let them win :snoop:

So now a dude with NO PRIORS has a BS criminal charge for fukking taking a test drive. I swear!! Even if there was no paper in the backseat, same shyt would have happened. They would have found something else to "find" that he didn't comply with.

Are u aware that police can pull u over for that. My question to u is, do u expect to make a dramatic change in the procedural practices of law enforcement? What are u doing to combat such "injustices" like the 1 apparantly done to the brotha in this story
