If Mexicans gatekeep there wouldn't be a shortage. Most of the skilled trades I've been around were white and this is in a few states. And let's not forget, Unions are really white at the top.

College is extremely important but I def agree we don't do a good job of explaining that if you don't want to go to college - or if you can't - your best option is a trades job. Or a government job. So many brehs seem to settle for the retail or even warehouse job, busting their ass for little. I def want to encourage Coli brehs to take that chance and better yourself.

Healthcare trades are the wave. Plus you don't gotta deal with like the other skilled trades. But you won't go wrong regardless.

That’s precisely why there’s a shortage. You have older white dudes teetering in retirement age at the top and Mexicans mid level and below. They still do things the old way. Not as easy as it looks for brehs.
Unless you get in through a program it’s going to be hard. I live in California and applied years ago in like 8 different job categories. Got zero call backs

Only good if you’re specifically interested in a trade or going for a degree that may not pay e.g. history, liberal arts, etc.
Say that shyt AGAIN! As I get older I realize how much current public school trends only prepare us to goto college and nothing else. All highschools should have trade programs. If I had it to all over again I'd have gone into the trades before even thinking about college.
