Like 70% or something of this country make 30k a year...

That's a livable wage in some places in the country. It can also be an acceptable wage for someone still living with their parents. I'm just curious to see if the decrease in unemployment has improved the quality of life for the black community. I am thinking not.

That can't be right.
  • -38 percent of all American workers made less than $20,000 last year.
  • -51 percent of all American workers made less than $30,000 last year.
  • -62 percent of all American workers made less than $40,000 last year.
  • -71 percent of all American workers made less than $50,000 last year.
more accurate but it may as well be 90.......

muricans ain't eating is the point

Majority of these poor individuals are conservatives too I bet

You clearly haven't been reading the Coli about the issues with black unemployment and the wealth gap.

Well ok, here's a question for you and anyone else.

Would you rather have:

1. Black unemployment at 6 and white unemployment at 3

OR

2. Both black and white unemployment at 10

To me, it's easy. You go with the answer that leaves less black people struggling with unemployment.

Because OP is implying this had something to do with Trump.

No I'm not, where did I say that?

Fixed the thread title, since some of you all have serious issues and can't handle good news

That U-3 unemployment rate aka the official unemployment doesn't count the amount of people that dropped out of the work force or are discouraged or have seasonal jobs or part-time jobs...

It's severely flawed and misleading.

The U-6 unemployment rating is a more accurate view of workforce participation and include those things that are left out in the U03 unemployment rate

Currently the U-6 unemployment rating is 8. The U-6 unemployment rate has been between 9 and 8. That's almost double the U-3 rate and that's just the way it always been. And the Black unemployment rate is almost always double of Whites...so...

This is the source of the current unemployment rate
Current U-6 Unemployment Rate

Explains all the different unemployent ratings

U6 Unemployment Rate

So yeah...the "official unemployment rate" the government and media releases every year is BS...even economists say it's BS...use the U-6 rating

We got dotcom bust levels of unemployment right now...and employment always seems to maximize during the holiday season...

Prepare yourself for the decline....

And again, I ask, what can we do keep those numbers low? Because there will be a recession and I would like us to shield ourselves from that as much as possible.
