Do Africans care about Egypt past like that? Try to claim that it was an all black civilization (which it was at one point) and get pissed off when Europeans white wash it's history? Do they put it on the pedastal like the same why the whites put ancient Greece and Rome or nah? It's just an American thing?

As an african myself, I don't give a damn about Ancient Egypt beside reading on it from time to time. Egypt was a major civilization in past, what about now? I would rather have africans focusing on building a future by developing our countries for the next 2000 years. No! Egypt is not put on a pedestal, I belong to an ethnic group first, than the african country than Africa. I don't need Egypt history to prove that we did and can do great things.
