That still doesn't explain why NYC ( a city with more blacks than any other city) hasn't produced shyt.....Nor does it account for all the blacks that have always lived in the south.... like nikkas in the south didn't know how to play basketball, til New Yorkers moved down there or something![]()
It's the coaching structure in NYC that has fukked things up, it's why you're seeing more players come from right outside the city (LI & Westchester county). They are too rigid and very rarely allow a player develop beyond what they think that player should be, you'll notice there's not much variety in the player types coming from NYC, it's either 5'11" shot chucking PG with no jumper but mean handle or the rugged 6'5" -6'7" PF that can't do anything but body people in the paint.
The highest rated prospect in NY right now is from White Plains, NY which is about 20 minutes outside the Bronx, he's a 6'7" kid that is allowed to play on the perimeter which is basically unheard of in NYC right now. I can't even tell you the last kid that was over 6'6" that played exclusively on the perimeter in NYC, they are almost always turned into this weird hybrid that either can't shoot but can slash or somehow they morph into a PF.

Im just happy i can still play.
