I was sitting around 130/90 or higher about a year ago. I cut back drinking and now I workout 5-7 days a week. The key was finding exercise that I love to make it fun.

140/90 this evening and on a daily pill, trying to get to a consistent 130/80 but it's a challenge. Hopefully the changes I'm making (more cardio) will get me there in 2-3 months, but we'll see.

Not to double post but I've been hovering around 125/80. I didn't expect to see better readings this quickly.. I'm proud of myself for starting a new routine and sticking with it.
whats your routine? did you switch to vegetarian diet?? i cut back in red meat, but i love me some chicken. i cant fukk with fish outside the occasional salmon. thinkin bout goin raw and no meat for 30 days :damn:

I added more cardio this time. I do at least 20 minutes of jogging Mon-Wed-Fri, sometimes a day on the weekend if I have time but I'm usually busy.

Diet-wise, hell no I didn't cut out meat entirely, but I do try to limit it.. I usually save it for my dinner. In general though, I limit my sodium to 1500mg a day which is what my doctor recommended to combat my HBP.

I just saw this was active again and I wanted to say that building strength and muscle has been far more effective at lowering BP for me than cardio. Period.

It’s amazing what a few months of cutting most bullshyt out of your diet will do.
