Big price drops on hardware happened that quarter as well. :comeon:

I’m not trying to downplay anything.

There is no “zelda boost” yall made that up :manny:
"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom... has made a major contribution to Q1 sales... Sell-through of this one title constitutes approximately half of the first-party software sold this fiscal year."

"Unit sales for the entire Nintendo Switch family rose by 13.9% year-on-year, led primarily by the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom."

"Nintendo said it sold 3.91 million units of its Switch console in the April-June quarter, exceeding sales in the same period a year earlier,* boosted by the runaway success of its latest 'Zelda' title. "

Why would you just blatantly lie like that?
"Y'all made that up"

UK retailer discount in March ≠ global price cut. Nintendo’s own report says Zelda drove the Q2 sales spike. The sales spike Nintendo reported was for April–June, which they explicitly credited to Tears of the Kingdom in their financial results.

It's okay to be wrong breh, just simply responding with random links and smilies don't mean your argument is strong. :unimpressed:

He not lying

The switch was my first Nintendo console since the og Nintendo I only bought it because of botw

Bought my daughter one too she is cool with her oled switch doesn’t care for switch 2
A lot of people will say this but, it's more to do with it a combination of perfect situations.

A great product that offers an new experience, and a great game and familiar IP to go along with that.

If the switch/Switch 2 sat under a TV like a Xbox or PlayStation you might have got one for yourself, but I seriously doubt you would have bought 2.

At one point when the switch released there were 3 different switches in the house well four if you count the...nvm but we was sitting around a lot of times right next to each other playing the same game on different screens. I can promise you if botw dropped on a typical console the experience with the game overall would be different, and I personally think a breath of the wild is a generational 10 out of 10 game. The way the switch allowed you to play wherever you were comfortable and interact with others added to the perfection of it though.

Sony stans forgot... They don't even buy their own exclusive games like that :mjlol:

Back to trying to pivot to plsystation

You’re entire argument throughout the years is that Nintendo has a superior first party they thrive off unlike PlayStation and Xbox so you continually bringing this up is shadow boxing

The point is nintendo beeeds better first party output or a roadmap since unlike PlayStation they can’t be carried by third party or subs/mtx ( in your own words)

There is no pivot.

Two things can be true, although you changing it from me saying Nintendo IP's to 1st party exclusive games changes the context but it's for the most part interchangeable. ( And before you go hunt for a post where I talk about 1st party make sure you include the ones that I speak on the IPs and Nintendo as a brand)

Let's be clear though, Nintendo has superior IP's to Xbox and PlayStation.

There 1st party games tend to just be pure good old fashioned fun 1st and foremost and regardless of what type of genre or game people are playing now, they probably started gaming because something was fun at its core. Nintendo tens to capture that 8 out of 10 times.

I don't know what point your trying to make though to be honest. Are you implying that Nintendo has always released more Mario and Zelda games throughout the years compared to others? Because that's not true, or are you implying that because there is no Mario or Zelda game the system is hurting or not selling? Because that's not true either. It's already broken all records for 9 months sales for a console... What you are implying is there is some kind problem, aka the fake FUD concern that y'all only do with non PlayStation consoles as if the system is struggling, giving reason on why they have to cut down on output. And you instantly went to there aren't any real 1st party titles for it...aka Mario or Zelda as your reasons. A main title Mario or Zelda game will never hurt Nintendo console sales so that's a given.

But don't act like Nintendo is doing something so different this go around like launching without a Mario game or Zelda game.

And yes Nintendo 1st party games are their bread and butter, but that's because they are pillar IP's and while Nintendo can almost survive strictly off that, that's All they can do is almost survive. 3rd party support is the backbone of any console ecosystem.

:russ::russ::russ:

All that typing to essentially say exclusives don’t matter

All those similes to essentially pivot to back around to the points you can't respond to.:russ::russ::russ:

Y'all Sony stans slow tho.

That's been my stance since I started posting. Exclusive don't matter (*as much* since some Stan gonna try and quote it in the future as a gotcha) like 3rd party support, new tech, use cases and popularity does.

Unless you're Nintendo because.....(Here it comes again) Nintendo has created brands of their 1st party games and they they tend to have weaker hardware in comparison to the others. Having a strong brand recognition that's basically associated with a quality fun game is more important than launching with a bunch of 3rd party support initially and the switch 2 did that with Mario World, then 2 months later Donkey Kong.
