Hello fellow investors.
I'm completely new to the stock market , any books or youtube channels to learn the basics/lingo ? things such as "Put" and others.
I read on reddit that the App ThinkOrSwim is legit when it comes to buying/selling stocks , any truth to that?
also , I'll most likely start off with $100-300 stock purchases ...just to get the hang of it.
Money I'm willing to lose.
If you're not planning to day trade, I suggest starting with Robinhood.
It's the simplest platform for swing trading options.
Check out the most popular chart pattern analysis videos on YouTube—focus on mastering charts and candlesticks. Honestly, books didn’t really help me; you kind of have to develop your own approach because what works for me might not work for you.
Learn candlesticks
Learn the chart patterns
Find your strategy (small cap day trading, large cap option swing trading, penny swing trading etc, etc.)
If would rather be an investor then you don't need to learn any of these. I recommend starting with buying mag 7 stocks when they are down and dollar cost avg. Or simply buy QQQ and SPY and dollar cost avg.
