Sofi & HOOD should be worth more in my opinion. I can't wait for this Bitstamp deal to go through.

Tarrifs this, tarrifs that, fukk that guy man. Feel like my money has been stagnant ever since Trump took office
you, me and the rest of the world

I think the Republicans/ Trump are cooked in next year's mid-term. and 2028 is probably an uphill battle too

Funny thing is if Trump did & said very little he'd probably popular politically. but he has this bizarre fixation on tariffs and its affecting everybody's wallets. not to mention inflation, gas price and other residual effects i think we are only in the early stages of

But the real stuff won't change.

Say the Dems win in 26 to stymie Trump, and then in 2028 get Whitmer or Buttigeig/Whoever elected - They're just gonna bring things back to Biden/Obama/Clinton "normalcy".

What would real change look like?

That's not something any of the Dems/Libs are talking about.

The closest that we're getting in terms of vision is Ezra Klein's Abundance - > which is basically more houses and high speed rail. Maybe drone deliveries.

This is all stuff that's already in China...(though not clear who's taking an Air Taxi)... Like America's best future, a future they can't attain, is something that's China 5 years ago.

Dems (and a lot of their sub-groups) have a real lack of vision, much less imagination.

Most of the Dem Wonks are talking about the unsustainable debt in the US, or losing Dollar Dominance because of the trade war.

I get that it's important (Lord knows)...but it's like Milei in Argentina - he destroyed a whole class of people to make some line on a graph someplace go up.

Corporations destroyed red state America by moving out of Union heavy Midwest to the South, and then with the help of the NeoLibs with NAFTA to Mexico (1992), and then with Compassionate Conservatives to China (2001)

It's like nobody, except the Wall Streeters, are watching the country just fall apart.

Much like the education scam in the US (Kindergarten through PhD), It boggles my mind how few people can see what's wrong.

gavin is rebranding himself to become a more moderate democrat. he's already changing his stance on trans in women's sports and doesn't agree with it. he also made a comment recently about how being too woke is divisive. by election time he might be in a good place to win the nomination and beat trump.

he is going on a revenge tour. it feels like a lot of the moves he's making is to spite the people that went against him. the film tariffs is a direct shot at hollywood and even wanting to open alcatraz is a shot at SF. if he stayed the course then things would look better for him and the republicans. but at the end of the day fukk him and i hope his actions will fukk republicans over in future elections.
