I hate to seem to like a complainer. I don't
only want Boldy to rhyme over Alchemist or Madlib. I'm not that much of an elitist about this.
At the same time, I'd at least like Boldy to rhyme over producers that are in the same league. This Versace dude came out of nowhere, and nothing about his sound warrants him working with a dude that just dropped an album of the year contender. I heard a "beat" by Jay Versace called Versace Church Van (link below) with Mach-Hommy and it's one of the most unlistenable songs I've ever heard.
Why is the hip-hop game about to make this dude Jay Versace happen?

I mean I guess get your paper, kid. I ain't mad at Jay per say, but he's not dope to me. At all.
Versace Church Van
At this point I wanna hear Boldy over Madlib, Alchemist, Havoc, Pete Rock, Primo, Nottz, Daringer, Jake One, 9th Wonder, Hit-Boy, Harry Fraud, Evidence, Knxledge, Nicholas Craven, Graymatter, etc.
If Boldy has to rap over drumless loops, let him rhyme over Roc Marci or Ka beats and go full experimental. This Jay Versace beats are a weird in between. He has all of the negatives of drumless loops (simplicity and lack of effort) without the positives (fore loops or weird and experimental sounds)
EDIT: Thankfully Boldy had a 7 track project dropping with Harry Fraud. That should be
EDIT 2:
@iamduval makes a good point. I'm being a little salty. Boldy's voice really is the main instrument and this mixtape is still enjoyable.
