I think he's trying his damndest to not go back down that avenue.
Ah, well, good luck to him. I think he was some kind of math major in grad school so hopefully he's saved his money and invested well.

I think a mini series about the history/intersection of race, politics, and sports could have been more successful. That seems to really be his bag. Leaning so hard on the scripted comedy was an error imo. The comedy comes from the absurdity of reality.

Curious to see what comes next

The show wasn't good imo. I've been listening to Bomani since he was on The Score with Cory erdman or whatever his name was. He's an interesting guy and has some interesting thoughts, but he's not punchline funny enough to carry a show like this.

I don't know that you can center a show around a person that most people don't find likable. I'm not sure how many more chances hell get bud I'd be surprised if he gets this level of investment/buy in again.

It's probably also badluck that HBO is going through what it's going through right now. But I'm.not sure how that would have impacted ratings. For what its worth I think the chick that was tweeting about interviewing for the job would have had her shyt canceled too.
Yea Katie Nolan, she's been a flop since she left Fox Sports and I didn't get the hype for her talent back then

Damn

The biggest issue is he got away from what made him popular he could have riffed on topics, have a guest ask them questions riff on stuff with them run some skits then wrap it up

Instead he dropped flat jokes and seemed awkward

He never seemed relaxed

He was reading jokes off a teleprompter and delivering them with the comedic timing of a gerbil on Xanax :scusthov:

He shamelessly admits that he didn't try hard when it came to doing tv at ESPN. Would just show up without much prep or rehearsal.

Bomani used to do this podcast called Evening Jones with Bomani Jones.
And he would disrespect the people asking him questions all the time if they asked a question he didn't like. Literally cussing them out.
Kinda showed what type of person he was.

I like bomani but this was true

He needs to bring that back.

But yeah I think he should expand his scope outside of sports a little bit, his bag is politics and culture as well

They should put him and Foxworth together. But Bomani has the "Stench" on him now. Might not want to hitch your wagon to him if you're Foxworth.

They have similar profiles, Foxworth went to MIT if I recall correctly

Bomani isn't finished, but he has to choose his next move correctly. And his next podcast he'll have to get off his high horse.
